Guys: Tiësto did trance untill 2007. He didn't change for the money, I mean he was the best dj in the world and maked a lot of money. He changed style because he didn't enjoy the trance anymore and he was influenced by other artists. If you don't like the new Tiesto, okay but don't go hating on him. I liked the old Tiesto more but I appreciate his choice because its awesome to see how much he enjoyes it that much.
@angelamunro404610 жыл бұрын
I've always liked Tiesto, as a DJ his music makes me want to dance around but it's not aggressive, I'd describe his sound as euphoric. And I personally like him as a man as well, he's always come across as very humble and happy that other people enjoy his music. He answered the last question well; without sounding like he had an ego he described how he can differentiate between crowds and play exactly what they want to hear. He always takes his time to warm up, I've seen him live and it's a great atmosphere, when he smiles, it makes the crowd smile and that's the key to a good entertainer! :)
@jackhammer80616 жыл бұрын
I would describe it as more of a fuckboy sound, not euphoric or aggressive. Just fuckboy material.
@Arc_Luena6 жыл бұрын
I still think it's a shame he has left trance but let's be honest, to ride the wave of stardom and take the US by storm Trance just wasn't going to cut it. I remember discovering him in 2003 (his remix of Southern Sun) then bought a load of his CD's and later the 2004 and 2008 concert DVD's and I was in awe. His exquisite ear for mixing the ISOS compilations is not possible to convey in words. That rounded off by seeing him at Trance Energy in 2008. The hype surrounding him was nothing short of Godlike at that concert, it was almost like the other artists were just support ones. Come Kaleidoscope and that was the change right there (there were hints of him departing from his original sound on Elements Of Life with "In The Dark"). I may be biased towards trance but I do not know of any other genre that can fill someone with such emotion as to make grown men cry with joy. Such was the euphoria that him and his sound could create. Sad to see Armin is now taking the EDM route too.

VMHvilsom Skrillex isn't producing his own shit anymore. He DJ'd with DeadMau5... released a few original tracks and became famous. After that started DJ'n full time and all his tracks are copro these days. That's called selling out and Skrillex will fade out the scene fast as SHM. That's how the music industry works bro I've been in it 15 years. There are THOUSANDS of great guitarists but only 16 right now who actually make a living as guitarists. If you can't consistently produce original shit & top the charts... which he can't... you're forced to copro or DJ. Right now he's not doing either well, his brand isn't in demand, dubstep isn't fresh like it use to be... in 5 years no kids will know or care who the fuck Skrillex is. That's my opinion and prediction. The music industry is a revolving door (like porn) that caters to young kids who don't care about good music... they only care about what's the next fresh thing. Just look at Eminem. How many rappers can you name who've consistently sold records or stayed relevant as long as Em? I bet you can't name more than 10. Now apply that rule to any other genre... it repeats over and over. Lady Gaga use to rule pop. Even she couldn't stay relevant more than a few years.

He did switch from trance to a more house and electro style. He said it was because trance started to sound all the same, and he wanted to explore other genres, as seen in Kaleidoscope. You may say he is selling out by playing a more popular style and working with commercial pop stars. However, his sound is far from commercial and besides Nelly Fertado and Three 6 Mafia, the artists he collabs with are hardly mainstream. If you want a sellout, think more David Guetta

Question: About a few of your productions. As we all know, you co-produced one of Tiësto’s tracks, ‘(Sub)Urban Train’. Your own name wasn’t included in the full artist though, all that was done was putting your name in the Credits on the sleeve. Why was this done, didn’t you find it a shame that yours wasn’t included? Ronald van Gelderen answer: That was part of the agreement, they just wanted it to be the new Tiesto release. It would have been nice, but I just thought, let it go. The whole idea behind the track originally came from one of my tracks, Kid Vicious - ‘ReForm’. Tiesto called me and told me he was producing something that sounded a lot like ReForm, so then we decided to finish it together. My question who are "they". "They just wanted it to be the new Tiesto release"
