I've been riding Superteam wheels for two years. I just ordered a second set to put on my bike while I get the initial set trued and maintained. They are inexpensive enough to have two sets. I have switched back and forth from the Superteam wheels to both my Easton hybrid carbon/aluminum and Mavic Ksyrium Elites. It only took a couple miles on the old wheels to want the Superteams back on the bike.

They sent be a new one free! Great experience. My GF has a set of 50 clinchers but with R13 hubs and Conti Gator 28’s with about 1k miles no issues. Hard to beat the quality for the price

Just got my Superteam rims in 28mm 700c tubeless disc version (45mm deep). I put some Pirelli p zero 26c tires on them. They seem to be great. Great video!

i've had the 50mm hooked tubeless superteams since 2021. Love them still as much as the day i got them. Many compliments and haven't done any maintanence on them. Bearing still smooth free hub still catches nothing loose. Have a bit of pad material buildup on the rear brake track that i gotta clean off somehow but thats not the rims fault. For the money you don't feel bad if you scuff them either. May swap out the bearings once they get grunchy but i will def service the free hub body this week.

I know a few folks riding SuperTeam wheels, and none of them have spoken about any issues with them. I'm actually stashing funds away to get myself a set of their 70mm three-spoke wheels for my bike, for racing in duathlons, and probably a 38mm set for training rides. Most of the reviews I've seen on the SuperTeam wheels give them pretty decent marks for longevity, and one would think there's a decent amount of QA happening if they're putting a two year warranty on the wheels. For me, the real deciding factor, aside from being a fraction of the cost of big name carbon fiber wheels, is the max rider weight on them. I weigh in at roughly 109kg, which is above the limit for the likes of Zipp wheels and Enve wheels, to name just a couple. I'm a subscriber, now, so I'll have to keep my eye out on your channel for a more long term review of these.

I have the same wheelset, almost. Mine are 50s, still solid matte black, but for disc brakes. I am running 30x700 and love them! I got the score of the year on mine, Amazon had them on a flash sale, and I had just gotten an email from Amazon, saying if I opened a charge account, I would get 100$ USD off my first purchase. I opened the account, got the flash sale price, plus the 100$USD off, mine came in at... $172.92!! I was absolutely skeptical, I have a set of Zipp 404s on another bike, but these Superteam ones ride great, are light, not THEE lightest wheelset out there, but pretty good. I am a happy customer, enjoy the ride!

You are gonna love them. I would pack them with more grease to quite them down. I personally wish mine were louder. I am riding 50mm deep superteams with 25 vittoria Rubio tires. I think the hollow rims enhance the sound. I could be totally wrong on that theory. LoL I can say that I hated the supplied superteam brake pads. I replace them with Swiss stop black prince pads.

Regarding the whole "Chinese-ium" aspect, these are made in the same place that HH Catamaran boats are made. People don't seem to have a problem buying/living aboard those things, I think they can make a decent bike wheel. If anything, I'd be concerned about the hub lasting.

I know exactly what you mean about the noise. I ran 50mm. ICAN rim wheelset with 25 mm. tires. The noise and road feel was not good, but coming down the Highwood was downright scary. They are in the rafters of my shop.
@ericmehlenbeck78812 жыл бұрын
Purely curious: but what made them scary? Was this your first carbon rim experience?
@snafujag1002 жыл бұрын
@@ericmehlenbeck7881 Yes, one and only carbon wheelset to date. The Highwood is the highest paved road in Canada! Descending with gusty sidewinds buffeting those wide rims was no fun at all. Not to mention the sub par rim braking and basically “ unsure” general feeling.

Hi friend I have these rims in 50mm and 28 mm tires. I have been used it since once week and now I put on it now like 100 kilometers , I had issues with sounds and vibration but solve easy adjusting the brake pads. I also have sound but i believe is because the rim profile is like wind sound. My real concern is the behavior of the wheels on long downs

Can i put a 23mm tire on those, my bike doesn’t have clearance for a 25mm at the rear
@eTwisted2 ай бұрын
My Klein Quantum is getting a set in the next few weeks. What limits me is the width of the rim, not the tire as there is a flare out for the tire giving 33mm, but only 30mm where the rim is. So I was not willing to risk buying 28mm wide rims. My 25 and 28mm tires get pulled in to 23 and 25mm, but will be wider with wider rims. My 90's rims are 18mm wide

There's a saying... You get what you pay for.
@cornelhughes67632 жыл бұрын
@@CyclingOnAShoestring That saying may have come from a marketer. Think you know there are many times in life that's not true. Actually find the Superteam wheels stronger (deals better with potholes) than the aluminum wheels that came with my first road bike (Triban 520)
@ericmehlenbeck78812 жыл бұрын
@@cornelhughes6763 This is so true. The companies will say it is the R&D that you are paying for. While that may be true, like you say, those are made in the same factories. So they learn how to build wheels based on those specs. In the end, those companies do have big marketing spends which get built into the price the consumer pays. Spot on with that comment.

I think its durability honestly. I guarantee that these hubs will not last if you put a lot of stress & mileagen on them. Cheap hubs will eventually bust on you, but usually give warning beforehand like a clicking every revolution
@316Mysta Жыл бұрын
@@warriorsnake1 I’ve put probably 1200miles on mine and push them hard on lots of climbs. They have not become loose or the bearings have not started to make any noise. Also been running the pads they send and have even done a few rides in the rain and they still stop really well for a rim brake.
