Supreme Court rejects challenge to Biden admin's contact with social media companies

The Supreme Court rejected a Republican-led challenge to the Biden administration's communication with social media companies about misinformation on their sites about COVID-19 and the 2020 election, stating the plaintiffs did not have legal standing to sue.

They informed the platforms of the misinformation and requested action be taken for the sake o public health and /or safety. The platforms then could or could not take action.

From what I understand, that's exactly what happened. The whitehouse asked Twitter/Facebook/{insert platform here} to take down or otherwise "deal" with some posted content and it was up to the *platform* to decide what to actually do.
