Awesome and yeah It's a pretty sick reset. I wanted to use EX-headbutt for cinematic view, but i thought it would be more valuable for players to know that he doesn't have to use EX for the stun kill.

I don't understand how to Lariat, medium punch and do the charge for stomp. Need explanation of that please

So The moment you Input "Lariat", Immediately hold down to charge. Charge before the hit-confirm. Then when Lariat connects, Release the down charge, and immediately Link stand Mp, followed by Up-Kick. And it should come out. I know the timing will feel weird an awkward, but keep practicing and eventually you will uncover the timing. It's almost Identical to Chun Li's BnB Combo: c.Lp > Mp > c.Mk > M-spin Bird kick.

Well, i'm having some trouble. The setup "stomp > m. Flash chop > Power Bomb actually works only if Ryu wakes up with a m. Shoryuken, which is a 4 frame wake - up, not 3. EDIT : I couldn't pull out the Pbomb against a L.Shoryuken because that shit is airborne from frame 1, i think. Indeed the pbomb works with 3 frame jabs so everything is cool. My bad.

if the s.HK is plus enough then you can follow up with a second one instead of a HP for more damage because if you v-trigger cancel a s.HK you can follow up with another s.HK

Alex is fun and he's always has been. I love this character and I really wish Capcom released his Nostalgia costume right away. He's looking great in Season 2, now that Meter less Wake up options are nerf, he can just punish the with command grabs. Also Shout out to "guillaume pascal" for giving details about Alex Tech stuff. Dimitrice Owens I do it by holding down-back after pressing the HP for Lariat, then rolling the stick up and plinking the MP into the LK; takes some practice but it's doable.

In order to do St.MP into Airstamp: The moment you input Lariat, Immediately hold down to charge while Alex is Hit-confirming. Then release the 'down' charge, so ALex can stand in neutral, and then immediately link his St.MP with Air Stampede. The timing can be tricky, but keep practicing until you've find the timing. Another way to practicing the timing is without the lariat. Just hold down to charge for Alex, and then try to hit-confrim his St_Mp into Air Stampede. And to Link his Heavy Kick from Crush Counter Lariat: This is will only work if the opponent decides to press a button during their wakeup. Just like in the Example @ 0:20 I've set and Recorded Ryu to do Light Shoryuken, a 3 frame startup, as a "Reversal" on his wakeup.

It can take a while and that's why we practice. At first just practice Confirming the St-Mp in to Stomp. Understand the time of the charge. Then once you get the idea, Practice hit-confirming the Lariat > St.Mp > Stomp.

So before i answer your question Omegaware, Do you know how to read frame data? because if you do, it will be much easier to understan why these meaty attacks and meaty throws work.

Okay awesome! So let's look at Alex's Lariat Frame-Data: Startup = 11 frames On Hit = +6 Active = 3 frames On Block = +3 Recovery = 17 Now According to this Information ,it only explains that Alex's Lariat is only +6 on hit and +3 on block On the 1st "Active" Frame. So in other words..... Lariat has 3 "Active" Frames = 1st 2nd 3rd +6 +7 +8 On Hit +3 +4 +5 On Block So if you can land the attack on its Later active-frames, it will gain more frame-advantage. Now the reason why I whiff buttons after knockdown is to perfectly land the lariat attack to be meaty as soon as they wake up. And these Lariat Attacks can land on either on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd active-frame; however, preferable be the later active-frames of the attack. So now let's look at one example in Alex's Setups, And let's look at Setup 1 @ 00:23 This lariat is actually landing on the 2nd Active-frame; so it's +7 on hit. I am using His Dash animation and whiffing his Light Punch in order to land the Lariat to be meaty on the 2nd active-frame. Furthermore, if you can land a meaty attack to be a COUNTER-HIT!, you will gain even more frame-advantage on hit; Thus, Alex's is Linking his Heavy Kick. I hope this helps! Sorry if this was too long, but overall this is how i find setups for all characters in SFV. Thanks for watching and take care!

Well I feel that the new universal mechanics balance him out and has help him out for most of his match ups. So he's not too bad or too good. I think he's pretty fair and simple to use. And the Lariat charge isn't too difficult at all in my opinion. The charge buffer is not as strict. All you need to do is the moment Alex goes into animations for lariat, just hold down, and then the moment it connects, just let go of the charge and link S.Mp + Up Special.
