Kaushiki Charkravarthy (your dost :) ) is my all-time favourite simply because she hits some super difficult notes with such ease. I am more sensitive to female vocals than male vocals. My jaws just drop listening to her countless singing variations within the cyclic beats. Trust me, its not easy unless you have years and years of practice and drills behind you to perfect it.

as a country, india has men and women who perceive life and experience life and have talents which are far more beyond the western understanding of music, philosophy, life but we are so many that we are seen as a under developed country.....but our culture, religion (way of life and not like other religions) is so superior that sometimes being indian itself is a blessing in disguise.....i listen to bach, bethoven, mozart, american 40s jazz, blues, comus, nick drake, floyd, ac/dc...but i enjoy hindustani classical in some other way which cant be described......we as a nation should cherist this and stop drooling over pop artists...i mean ofcourse appreciate all music but not at the cost of forgeting our indian music.......
