I skated quad speed back in the 1980's and early 90's. During the 80's I skated on a Sure Grip plate called a Magnum Magnesium. They had 45 degree single action trucks. I later switched to something called an Ultimate3 that had a truck angle that was probably only about 20 degrees and were dual action. The Ultimates were lighter and quite stable, but I remember how much quicker and grippier those Magnums were. My wife and I are getting back into skating now (with our grand-kids too!) This Avenger looks like it might be Sure Grip's eveolution of the Magnums. One question though. Back in the day, all of the best quad skates used 7mm axles, and 8mm was found only on cheaper entry level stuff and rentals. I noticed that there appear to be more 8mm axle plates available now than 7mm. Is 8mm the new standard for hi performance quads?

Can you use a different toe stop , like the gum ball stops on this plate? Thanks
