BEWARE: I have 2 640DF lights that both present issues. They flicker/dim under recoil and seem very inconsistent with output. They will be full bright one time and them dimmer when turning them on just seconds later. I have already sent these units in to SF 1 time but they are not fixed. Sending them in again next week to see if they can't figure them out. Others have had similar issues if you just google the model and look at forum posts.

Agreed, go with the standard 1000 lm and avoid the dual fuel

Are you using the SR07 switch or any pressure pad with them as the switches are outdated and act as a bottleneck keeping the lights from reaching peak performance.

Were you using 2 stacked 123s or an 18650 or does it happen to you running both?

Surefire gets killed on candela by other manufacturers. If you're looking for long throw than candela matters more than lumens

Looked at price of these light & attachments and had to take an extra blood pressure pill !! I think a had a Mild Stroke . 911 ??, will keep you informed !! LOL
