========Description========
This is a SAM made in Besiege. Because some of the people I play with are sticklers for stock machines, I made this.
None of the parts are resized. The only cheated values I used were the thrust on the rockets and the range of the sensor blocks. The rockets never had a practical amount of thrust to be used as a booster on a larger machine, and the sensors always had their range arbitrarily limited to 50.
The blocks all use the new variables so you can merge this with other
machines pretty easily.
Warhead is only a flamethrower, but if you are going against stock flying machines this is all you really need.
========Controls========
Arrow keys to move. Shift to aim up, Ctrl to aim down.
Z and X to fire the Left and Right missile respectively. Pressing this button again disables the missile.
C and V to activate the camera for the Left and Right missiles.
Alt to activate the fixed camera.
========Notes on Usage========
A target flying away from the missile is always the easiest to hit. Stationary targets are slightly harder to hit.
The missiles can track a head-on-aspect target if you do not fire directly at the target. They need space to do a 180 without loosing sight of the target, as shown in my video.
The missiles will loose track easily if they come to a stop mid-air. Keep this in mind when deciding when to fire.
The missiles also have a 1 second arming timer, meaning you can't fire them really close to a target.
The field of view of the "Seeker head" is rather limited on my version. You can expand the FOV, but this will make the missile more prone to seeing debris on the ground and loosing track of the target.
