Thank you so much for the nice video clips of that turning tube that sends surfers left or right, choose your poison! Those surfers are just great! Brave young men! Also, thank you for not cluttering it with lousy music. It’s a good choice. White one person likes, 20 people don’t like when it comes to music, especially The new stuff that is not time tested.

Indeed. I hate when music is added to the surf videos. I just like listening to the waves breaking and pounding against the water surface.

I don’t think it was possible on that wave, some of those waves brake way to fast to ride them that long. From watching a lot of documentaries most of the time they watch the brake for a few sets to see how the waves are braking. Also they are looking for the right wave. Some of the waves these guys set down on are bad. 6:50 that was the perfect wave

There's something about watching or surfing a huge sand bottom beach break that I find far more terrifying than any Mavericks or Jaws vid. The rides really start gettin good at 10:00 also notice how many guys are straightening off, they don't want anything to do with that paddle back out! One of the most powerfull big wave surf vids on KZbin! Kudos to every man out!

whoa puerto escondido!: always a dangerous spot because of the wicked undertow, which is infamous amongst west coast beaches in mexico, but with waves this large, thick, and fast, this is way more dangerous than the huge slow lumbering waves available elsewhere, as evidenced by the broken boards...and so great to hear the waves instead of 3rd rate soundtrack!

There's not a single cut back maneuver in any of the 2 time stamps you provided. So I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. I even watched 20 seconds before your time stamp in 20 seconds after and not a single cutback. Everybody was getting pitted and super deep at times but no cutbacks. Not sure where you guys got that from.

The paddle out is mind blowing…. Let alone having the balls to attempt to drop in on this wave. Unreal.

I was there the week before. The anual contest was held on Monday July 15. By Thursday I was able to bodysurf. This must have been the follwing week since a large swell was forecast again. Amazing.

You must be very very skilled and be in a really good shape to risk surfing waves like that.
