Great review Noel! I'm really in love with quads since you recommended the Bobby Quad! Which model do you recommend as a HPSB for a front footed surfer: the Inferno FR or the FRK Swallow? Cheers and keep up the good work!

Nice review! I got D2 5’4” with your quad set and absolutely love it I’m 5’8” 145 lbs looking at the FT how does it compare to D2?
@surfnshowreviews777710 ай бұрын
Stoked you like my Quad set. The F T offers way more performance in the pocket compared to the D2. The F T surfs more like a HPSB and the D2 will be your Daily Driver or Small Wave Performance Board. This will be a great 2 board quiver

Nice review! How would you compare the FT to the Inferno 72? I remember you really liked the 72. On the 72 we can do a thruster, but on the FT not just quad, what does that mean?
@surfnshowreviews777710 ай бұрын
I think the F T is more of a HPSB and it needs a wave with a little punch to it…. Even if the wave is waist to shoulder high. The F T would not be my first pick for mushy flat faced waves. The I72 has a bit more glide… it offers more down the line speed with less effort so that makes it a little more user friendly in smaller waves. If you are good at using your rails to generate speed then the F T will be a fun Daily Driver in less than average waves. That’s why I say it’s more of a HPSB…. It likes to be on rail and you can push hard through turns and get lots of speed with the Quad set up.

Hello Noël, thank you for this great review. I got the Inferno 72 in 5'8" x 19.0 x 2.45 26.60 L, wonderfull board. How is the paddle power and the wave entry of the FT compare to the 72 ? Do you recommend to order the same dims ?
@surfnshowreviews777710 ай бұрын
The I72 and IFT paddle roughly the same. Similar entry rocker…. Go roughly the same dims and volume as you I72.
@StrangerThanDane10 ай бұрын
Definately not a 6ft to 10ft board!! I don't no what those sort of waves look like in the US but in West Aus it easily taps out at 4ft ish if you want to ride it how its meant to be ridden.

yes deep single concaves don't like the power and bump, raw conditions in SW
@tiagocarvalho98310 ай бұрын
Hi Noel! Thank you for your work. How do you compare this board to the Pyzelien 2?
@surfnshowreviews777710 ай бұрын
The P2 might have a little more entry rocker less glide and down the line speed. The P2 offers a Thruster and Twin + Trailer Option for more pivot compared to IFT. The IFT is a bit more refined in the rails offering a little more rail engagement at high speeds. All in all the IFT draws sharper lines like a true HPSB.
@tiagocarvalho98310 ай бұрын
@@surfnshowreviews7777 thank very much Noel for your reply. I think the Pyzelien is the right board for me.

Amazing review as always!! What do u think about the peppa twin from Chilli ? How does it compare with this one?! I have had really good recommendations about the Peppa twin, any thoughts about it? If u have to pick between Peppa or rnf 96, which one would u pick?! Thank u and thanks for being a legend! Always super helpful
@surfnshowreviews777710 ай бұрын
The Peppa Twin is fun… I will drop that review soon. The Peppa Twin needs a wave to go good…. It’s more of a daily driver and it needs a wave with some push. The 96 is more versatile and it shreds 2-8’ surf. I personally like the 96 better

I noticed you went way under your weight/6 liter range, was that just for the freshwater pool or do you notice sharpeye EPS and EPS carbon float more? Only asking because I'm currently ordering an FT in carbon but my weight is around 180-185 and height 5'10" (advanced, but coming off injuries and don't want to ride a blade). Typically ride around 29.7-30.5 for this type of shortboard, but your dims make me think I could go lower
@surfnshowreviews77776 ай бұрын
@@zach1978 I surf the pool with less volume in general. In the ocean I would probably surf this board around 27-28L

Yeeeew I have the FT 5.11 30.5L C1 carbon tech this think is mental ! Maybe want to test the inferno 72 c1 carbon for smaller waves what do you think ? Should I pass and keep trying hard on my ft or should I grab the inferno72 ? What’s your opinion ?
@surfnshowreviews777710 ай бұрын
The I72 will offer a bit more pivot and a little more glide for smaller waves. I think these two board surf completely different but if you want a sick two board quiver I say keep your F T and get a Storms Twin Turbo. The Twin Turbo is next level fun in smaller waves.
@medphysio374610 ай бұрын
For me the fr is my all go to board conditions even smaller weaker wave because I take my upper volume 30.5L in 5.11 but when it’s mushier bigger sometimes it go for fast down the line that is hard to have a sharper pivot. That’s why I was thinking get inferno 72 to offer more pivot when it’s stormy conditions for exemple

I have one in PU. I think it goes much better in larger surf. If you can draw longer line with that speed is pretty amazing. I bought it to use as a everyday one and I got a synergy in EPS for better wave, and I ended up using the synergy when smaller and the FT when better. Construction might play a role on it, but it is very drivey, fast, stable board IMHO

I did a Xanadu review a few years back on the Moskah and it didn’t get too many views. You are the only request for his boards. Sorry….. however Xanadu is one of the best shapers in the world in my book. I used to ride his boards on tour back in the late 90’s and they were the best boards I ever had back then.
