Hi Carlo. Unrelated to the video but I just wanna say I just discovered your channel as a mid-30s dude who's just getting into cycling. I'm also from Cebu. Been watching your other videos and knowing that you only started cycling in your 30s gives me inspiration that maybe it's not too late for me after all lol. For now, my biggest hurdle is having the confidence to ride in traffic since currently I only ride during the wee hours of the morning. Anyways, I looked you up and discovered that you were in a band called Rescue a Hero and I remembered around 2009 when your song Prom Night had such huge impact on me at a "dark" time in my life. Anyways, sorry for the longwinded post. Love your channel and padayon lang bai!

i visited cebu last month and saw a lot of people from all ages with different bikes braving the traffic 😅 i personally might not be able to handle it as well😅

I love your interaction with the camper owner. Also, the goats climbing that hill. Also, i think the fox+650b would also be nice set-up for heavy gravel and fire roads, looks fun. You might also consider the new Microshift sword for your next gs (well i havent tried yet). Let us know your experience with it ( once you have the chance to try it)

650b with the MS is the way to go for more fun. Running 2.2" Conti Racking for gravel and city cruising and it's awesome. It's more plush and supple than the already soft Teravail Rampart 47c. I also run 36c 700c for long distance road cycling. I tried 650b 47c slicks for road cycling and it doesn't cut it for me

it only feels out of vogue (650B) because you are leaning more towards the competitive/performance space of cycling. I ride vintage 26in mtb ALT/ATB set up and very happy.😀

Hey Carlo, MS owner and lover from Italy, I'm 194cm on a 58 size frame - 650b would make the bike way too small for me but I would like to give it a try for my girlfriend's surly. Which brake system do you have on the surly? thanks for great content!
