Couple miles? Try a block. $1300 for my dad ambulance ride. We went for a check up in a clinic and the minute they found out he had a heart problem they wouldn’t let us just walk to the hospital. They said it’s their policy to call an ambulance for a block. By the time we waited for the ambulance we would had made it to the hospital

They'll send it to collectors and ether garnish your wage or make your credit score take a hit (or both). plus interest and late fees. Ether way their getting the money from you rather you like it or not

That one woman got off cheap. 975 Dollars for an ambulance ride is nothing. All these ambulance companies deliberately stay away from being affiliated with any insurance companies. This way they can charge whatever. You or your loved one could be dying. What are you going to do? Tell them no.

Ambulance service isn't free. Plus we have lots of people who think EMS is just a taxi service and make it even more expensive for the rest of us. That's why some insurance companies don't cover ambulance service or only if it's an actual emergency. Stupid people ruin it for the rest of us.
