SURPRISE Pregnancy with PCOS | My Story & How I Found Out

I was surprised when I found out I was pregnant with my son. I was also diagnosed at 16 with pcos and was told I would not be able to conceive naturally. At 16 it didnt bother me but as the years went on I did want kids and it depressed me deeply knowing it would cost a fortune for ivf so I gave up on the hopes of becoming pregnant. I had a couple false positive pregnancy tests which happens with pcos and it made me even more depressed. Years later when I was in my early 20s I think I was 21 and I had started a new job things were looking up in my life. I was working out more but my stomach was growing and then I was getting sick. I thought it was just the pcos which gives me bloating nausea all the pregnancy symptoms. So after 3 weeks of throwing up I go see my Dr. To get some relief. When I went in and told her what was going on she said before she prescribed me anything she wanted to do a pregnancy test. I told her it might show up positive due to pcos she insisted I do it anyways so I did. It came back positive. I remember telling her I told her I get false positives. She did a blood test and it came back positive. I still didn't believe the results and she brought in a ultrasound machine and said let's take a look. I wasn't expecting to see anything except cysts. There he was on the screen he was developed and looked like a baby. He was already 13 weeks and 3 days at that point. I remembered crying. He's now 13 years old and I haven't had anymore pregnancies.

I don't think its possible to get a false positive pregnancy test with PCOS since the hormone being tracked in your system by the test is not impacted by PCOS. You're more likely to get a false negative

Me to i have pcos an stopped trying after i miscarried twice an i haven't tried for 8 years an i just found out 1/1/2020 im pregnant ❤ its been a long road an uncountable amount of prayers! I just pray everything works out this time ❤

Awwe congrats! Man that makes me so optimistic. We have been trying for over 5 years! Well... more than 6 technically. Had a crazy early miscairrage about 4 months into my relationship (been together 6 1/2 years). Didn't even know til I was in the E.R. Haven't had a pregnancy since and I'm SO! SO! SO! Drained from all the stuggles and tears. But the more I look for hope, the more I find it so once again congrats and thanks for putting it out there and spreading the hope! 😁

I Went Through A lot To Get To This Point Me An My Husband Has Been Together 10 Years An After My 2 Miscarriages I Gave Up Trying But Ill Tell You This Every Night I Prayed To God To Give Me The Family I Always Dreamed About For 8 Years Every Night . I haven't have a period for so long...last time was December 2019. Last month i light spotting when i wipe. Now two a weeks later my breasts tender and nipples sensitive. Cramps and tummy upset.moody alot...i had my son in 2014. When i do pregnancy test it come back negative. Haven't done any lately.

I don’t think what your doctor said was bad, my mom has PCOS as well as me and she says she’s glad she kept me or else she would’ve never had a child as she have only conceived once. But I do understand feeling that pressure, of “this is my only shot at motherhood” Im scared the one time I end up pregnant is not with the ideal person or situation and I would be forced to keep it out of fear.

I have pcos I have a 10 yrs old and am so wanting another child.... last period was 69 days ago but that’s not alarming... however my boobs are crazy tender for like 3 weeks now , lower back pain, nausea, dizziness,fatigue and mood swings... did 3 test they are all negative. Nikeeya Mattingly I feel you! ❤️ I was scared of miscarrying the entire first & second trimester. I’m so lucky to be holding a healthy 6 month old baby right now! Remember that having PCOS doesn’t mean you’ll miscarry ... there are so many factors & not enough studies have been done to truly determine how much of a higher risk we’re at for pregnancy loss. Try not to let your fears get in the way of celebrating and enjoying your pregnancy, whatever the outcome these will be moments you treasure ✨

Litterally the most similar story I have , I haven’t found anyone that has kind of the same story I had irregular periods since I was 14 but they weren’t as painful my body bassicaly didn’t like birth control
