Surprising aborted landing plus a wild takeoff

After a difficult wobbly approach, the Jet2 737 looked to have its feet firmly planted on tarmac, but it wasn't to be. Either the go-around was due to an unstable aircraft, or the pilot wanted to repeat the thrill of a typically-turbulent crosswind landing here ;)
You'll see by the trees that this was a day last summer - not the season you expect these conditions.

Is there a future in building some sort of wind break for these blowy airports? I'm not talking about a wall, but perhaps an AI with evolutionary learning algorithms could find some efficient way to disrupt and/or dampen crosswinds at ground level. I see potential to use them to produce energy, so maybe the installation could be beneficial by generating power for the airport.

Neste vídeo poderíamos entender que apesar das dificuldades de se fazer uma aproximação de pouso em condições normais devido aos fortes ventos cruzando a pista, o piloto poderia ter pousado já que tocou na pista o trem principal. Na sequência, forçaria o nariz a tocar a bequilha e o avião já no seu tripé mesmo em Zig Zag faria a corrida de desaceleração com seus flaps e spoilers estendidos. Por que não o fez? Por ser a decisão do comandante arremeter isso não pode ser respondido mas pode-se supor que por uma questão de segurança entendeu que já estava muito avançado em relação ao comprimento da pista e considerando a corrida de desaceleração e sua parada final correria riscos da pista se tornar curta.

They are. That's probably kilometers of runway compressed visually like that because of a very heavily telescopic (zoom) lens, from a large distance away. If you were actually standing directly at one end of the runway and looking at it with the naked eye, it would look very flat. And it would look like this /\ instead of like this ¦ ¦ like it does in this video.

It's an illusion of the telephoto lens, it makes the sloping topography (very few runways are perfectly flat the entire length) much, much more pronounced when viewed from extreme distances.

flugsnug I’m talking about the second pilot. It wasn’t about gusts, you can tell as they’re approaching the lift off speed their right wing is progressively getting higher and higher because it has more lift than the other due to the wind, that’s corrected by adding aileron until you reach that takeoff speed. If you do it right the plane will not veer sideways like that at all. Looked like a student pilot!

If you deploy too much into wind aileron, you also deploy the flight spoilers on the into wind wing which reduces lift and increases the possibility of a tail strike. Excessive use of aileron is not encouraged on the B738.
