Surrounded by BASKING SHARKS bigger than my boat. Sailing solo around Britain. Inverness to Lossie

This video starts a bit dull but gets better! Sailing my little Contessa 26 around Britain and taking photographs for my project The Shipping Forecast. This leg is from the Caledonian Canal at Inverness to Lossiemouth.

Hey Neil, I'm going back and checking out some of your previous videos ... great stuff. Those Basking Sharks are huge and they eat plankton ... kind of like a whale ... or some whales, I suppose. How do you like C26? Does it have sufficient space and allow good sailing during rough weather. How about long distance trip?

Hi. It’s a totally different boat from the 26. Short keel. More of a down wind racing boat. Not the seaworthiness of the 26 and the 32… in my humble opinion ( I’ve never actually been on a 28 I should say.. but read a bit and ruled it out before buying the 26.. ). Good luck. Xx

Love the 26. Love it. But… in the marina on rainy days it’s small inside.. but hopefully your on deck most of the day.. the cockpit is actually really comfy.. but it’s a bit like camping at sea.
