Thank you for another interesting and enjoyable video. We have a very successful neibour and he maintains if you have a good cow sell her before something happens. Not conventional farming lore but I think it certainly applies to boats. You are well away in B.C. in the winter. The farmer I worked for near Newmarket, Ont. Sold for building and retired to Salt Island, he loved it and never missed the cold and lived another 26 years inspite of being a heavy smoker!

Stay Cool was a fantastic looping vessel and we are confident she will continue to perform well as she loops again with new owners. Canada’s west coast and specifically Vancouver Island is a special part of Canada. The more gentle climate is something we enjoy and appreciate especially as we age. Congratulations on your Loop, and on the sale of Stay Cool. Did you enjoy your days with the new owners? I know I got great satisfaction spending time with the excited lady who bought my sailing yacht (before I moved to the Dark Side.) She still keeps in touch. All boats have quirks and head-scratchers and a good, unhurried debrief with the prior owned can make a new boat much more enjoyable. Good on you for doing that. How'd you do on the sale? The boat market has been rather bizarre since COVID.

Without getting into buying price and selling price how much of a loss or gain because of all the work you did can one expect to gain or lose after a year on the loop when selling

The buying price and selling price absolutely depends on the boat market at the time. In general a boat is a depreciating asset so it is not expected that it would gain value. It is said that a used boat requires annual maintenance of approximately 10% of the value of the boat. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!😎

We had Stay Cool for 4 years and after completing the Great Loop in 2023, we sold her to 2 Americans who are currently doing the Great Loop. They renamed the boat.
