SURVIVAL CHALLENGE: (3 days with NO FOOD NO WATER) Eat what I catch & Coastal Foraging

Күн бұрын

I tried surviving on the coast for 3 days with no food or water, having to catch my own food and forage for something to eat. Was it easy? Did I get hungry? This video will show you exactly what I caught, foraged, and ate.
I slept on a sheepskin in a Onetigris tent, on a cliff, about 20m above the rocky shore. You will see that the UK laws prevented me from eating the majority of my catch, due to the minimum landing size limits for the various species. Fishing was really tough....was it the bait? Was it the time of year?
Overall, it was great to be on the coast practicing something that many of us have always wanted to try - Survival with no food or water. There are many ways to purify water but as you will see in the video I used a water filter. As mentioned, the traps could be made from washed-up materials or woven together using some dogwood, willow, bramble, or any other thin branch. Having knowledge will significantly help you in a 'real' situation like this. I don't know everything & I don't know it all! But I tried, using what I had.
Hit the thumbs up if you want to see me do this again!

A bit of advice mate! Review your finshing strategy. I recommend that you get enough of the rock seafood and mashed them with a rock to create paste and put them in a small bag made of cloth. You use this bag as bait inside of your net. The paste will mix with the local water and create a strong scent to attract bigger bait. Also, you should not put your net in places where the water waves come crashing. It's best to choose place where the water is relatively calm and as deep as you can find.

Agreed. Dustin was even honest enough to check the sizes of everything he caught and toss it back if it didn't meet legal standards; a lesser man would most likely have just lied about its size.

Amazing video bud, one of your best videos. It's really cool to see some real survival, real scenario, emotions, struggle, hunger, thirst... it puts things in perspective, huh? Suddenly the rush for water, food, shelter... no pre-made pound steak. You actually need to walk, search, collect and work for your food, very interesting to watch. No store to run to and buy whatever you want, constant battle, really tough. I'm glad to see you take on such a challenge, very cool to see how you manage it, BIG respect to you. Please make more of those :)

I would say from experience using those fold up lobster pots the smellier the fish the better as bait maybe next time I would of used the large rocking on the hook as bait for a fish cut it into strips on a pulley penned rig and the head and guts in the pots for a lobster and the conger would of been eaten ;) nice work my biggest wrasse was caught caught on limpet they can be a great bait float fished in a deep gulley the fish eat the black gut sack once that’s gone they tend to leave them as bait !
