SURVIVE ANCAPISTAN is the first of a new format of short video where I discuss news, combining reporting and commentary. It is similar to the style other video essayists have used, with my own twists.
We discuss the election of Javier Milei, the layout of the Argentinean government for 2024-2027, some things that could happen and how liberals and leftists in Latin America & abroad can react. As opposed to other videos in this channel, this one (and similar future ones) will be layered with my opinions, so I invite you to be critical and use the comment section to discuss.

how people like you still support socialism in argentina after it has destroyed the country for 100 years i can not figure out , i see this often in left wing comentators is that they do not discuss the topics they say stuff like " he said that francis is commie lol" and then really not talk about it or having that sketch saying that israel is evil lots of yeah thats obviously truee!! and then not really engaging the topic since you don t really want to engage the topic just want to present your left wing ideas to left wing viewers or saying that the capital being in jerusalem is horrible , if you really want to prove your point i would say that you don t just say random shit and then really not explain your arguments for it or just don t mention it if you don t want to actually present your opinion and just say OBV horrible lol anywayyy you can do that it just makes you seem like a dogmatic preacher instead of a person that is willing to understand another ideology

socialism has also destroyed mexico ? From what i am seeing you are a french mexican center left globalist that thinks the european union which is clearly politically retarded as no french man has ever voted for a german party ,the leader of the parlament is picked to be the most center person because of the difference of all the political parties so that no political heavy weights like macron can ever become leaders , and all the economic plans like the lisbon one have ended in disaster , the political side of the EU union is hated by most EU citizens except for the ones that are not technocratic and think that the left wing revolution will just come to these new EU countries as they need no integration (brussels effect) the good part of the EU is its free trade zone . Regionalist left wing people will never understand nationalism or the fact that no Mexican will care about the policies in el salvador nor will a italian accept higher taxes to make Romania ritcher . How is destroying a ministry that was using tax funds (which had gotten at 40 percent fact which you did not mention instead saying that they actually helped the economy because of good relations with the imf ???) for neo-communist utopian thinking and trying to make woman somehow equal in the competitive market as men while the economy hit more then 100 percent inflation is another example of your dogmatic thinking , the reason why Javier got in power was because taxes where so high and the naturally corrupt neo-socialist politicians were using it for random shit like a ministry for gender equality ,providing good rights to the unemployed etc while the infaltion was at 120 percent and Argentina was becoming a failed state that instead of helping the economy cared more about social rights . Idk why you think that a country can have a "unionizing culture" and say that they will naturally do that is racist even if you think that its not because its true?? or because unions are good.

You really should go touch some grass and look at your continent and how it has been ruined by leftism and socialism (mexico , brazil , venezuela , etc) while the ones that changed their ways like el salvador and argentina are thriving .

On the episode: Quoting hot takes is propaganda, not a faithful representation of one's views. You're calling the guy an alt right figure, which is weird, 'cause radical liberalism is neighter right nor left. No nationalist will support someone who wants to denationalize the industry and remove national currency. No conservative supports radical individualism of radlibs. You'd make the vid right, if you were to describe the free market philosophers Mulei adheres to, and their inspirations, in relation to conservatists, nationalists and most importantly, the socialists liberals hate so much despite (or perhaps due to) their shared characteristics. TLDR: I deem this vid normie, uninformed, and center left

Milei was elected due his economic policies not his social ones. Milei is what Argentina needs right now because if you actually studied Argentina and how it came to the crisis it was in, you'd know it was because of the unaccounted massive corruption and welfare programmes. Milei's libertarian policies may not be viable for other countries, but it is what Argentina needs right now. Milei's social views are questionable. But economically, Argentine would have been in further shambles if not for Milei. Please understand the history of the country, along with Libertarianism. Otherwise your critique is okay

As someone else living in Latin America, I completely agree about everything. The worst part is that, just as in my country, the old regime, the Peronists in this case, are going to see the economy go to shit (which is going to happen, Milei has been very upfront about the upcoming harsher economic difficulties) and then pin it on Milei to prevent him from getting a second term and actually fixing shit. The first term is going to be painful but without a second term his plan is definitely going to fail. You don’t fix an economy as fucked up as Argentina’s in 4 years lol. And then the Peronists, just like my country’s political establishment did, will fuck up the economy even more and lead the country to economic collapse. All the while western progressive people will go out on rooftops shouting about how “inevitable” it was that Milei would fail and godforbid even praise the Peronists for ending Milei’s plans before they could even begin. I wish the best of luck to Argentina mate, your country’s history has been cruel and you guys truly deserve a shot at finally realizing that potential that the Spanish saw when they first colonized you guys (that sounds wrong, I just mean that y’all got a lotta economic potential and hopefully it’ll go well and you guys can become a major economic player in the coming decades)

As someone from central Europe I am always careful to use economy for an argument to bring questionable people into power. People who think it can't get worse lack imagination, because it always can get worse. Disclaimer: No Milei is not a fascist but Anarcho-Capitalism is a pipe-dream and all attempts to it like the early Russian federation were a failure.

To close it off, you genuinely don't know the region. You're a foreigner with no connection to the people, you don't know our societies, your european vision is disconected and frankly racist, Milei has won the biggest victory in the history of Argentina for a reason, it was broken country that had to choose between going the way of Venezuela or forge a new path. Actual Ancap won't even contemplate to run for office. Milei is Libertarian, not Ancap, and his govt will be a milktoast Liberal govt due to the entrenched and powerful opposition. Which is a shame, because as history shown us, it is incredibly easy to revitalize the economy: just copy what China did in 1980s, and what Vietnam is doing right now (also what Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Netherlands, Britain, Germany, USA, and many others did in the past): create *free trade zones* and *business friendly environment* (i.e. low tax, clear & concise regulations, and streamlined bureaucracy & justice system). Well.. at least Milei is on his way to streamline the byzantine Argentinian bureaucracy and hopefully managed to save the state some money.

The media and westerners appear to think because trump and Milei both lean towards populist sentiments and have vaguely similar social ideological beliefs that they’re the same. No. Trump is actually a populist, Milei is really not. He’s just a brilliant campaigner. His wild campaign stunts have all been to make himself stand out and appear different from the establishment, which is also what trump does but the key difference being, Milei is (actually was) not part of the establishment. Milei has also been, and I speak as someone living in a Latin American country, the most honest politician I’ve seen in years. He isn’t a populist, not a true one at least. A true populist would give shit out to the people and let the economy go to shit and all the while lie about it. Milei has been completely upfront about how brutal his plans are going to be on the Argentinian population, has been planning on cutting welfare and shit, and just generally actually trying to change shit for the better. All in complete contrast to trump and other modern conservative populists. Honestly trying to make them similar is dumb and is the first sign that whatever article or video or whatever piece of media you’re consuming about him is wrong and hasn’t actually spent time to take an above the top surface layer of ongoing shit in Argentina.

You seem quite enthusiastic about integration in Latin America since, while there are projects for "South America" and "Central America," there isn't a single functioning project for the Latin American region. I'm Brazilian, and I'm very confident it wouldn't make it past the Chamber of Deputies due to the right-wing majority and the general public's pessimism toward a unified currency due to our and the other South American countries' extreme irresponsibility with it. There is no connection between the chamber, which has more than 15 parties, and the president, who met with party leaders just twice this year. There is currently a freedom movement in South America; we have the choice to work and retire wherever we choose, and our contributions-both monetary and in terms of years spent-from each of these countries are taken into consideration. Additionally, the scheduled direct election for the ParlaSul, the Mercosul parliament, has been delayed, but we'll have it.

As a shitposter from a far, i am curious what will happen to Argentina with Milei. Purely for the goofyness aspect. If hes successful, maybr more politicians will join the race to the bottom by trying to outdo each other's ridiculous behavior. I loved when trump ran for president purely for how everyone thought he was either the second coming of christ or hitler. Either way, powerful business and military men will always rise to the top, weather we voted them in or not, someobe will always control the show from behibd the scenes

This video also spectacularly fails at understanding libertarianism and its ideals, goals, view of the world and how Milei seeks to realize everything that libertarianism is. I think that as a man of the right, who would definitely like to see a degree of reforms along the lines of some of the things he's proposing. Argentina does need a retraction of the budget, and I think most "progressive" causes are the opposite and designed to pit people against each other. I don't mind an end to institutions designed to pander to groups mainstream intellectuals would classify as oppressed because, well, I think that's a load of shit and I don't agree that these intellectual's moral structure is good or anything worth perusing. What I do mind is being a clown about it and potentially being hyper destructive to your own nation. When you have things like state healthcare et al, mass privatization will inevitably cause a lot of damage, especially when there's no institution to pick up the pieces. What Milei will likely wind up doing is creating what I would view as a positive social revolution against the Cathedral in Argentina, but absolutely tank the economy and force people to rebuild it from the ground up rather than gradually dismantling the state. Even Marx in Das Kapital laid out post-Revolutionary stages to achieve Communism in different areas rather than just going for it as quickly as possible, that was Lenin's idea. Nuking the state like that would likely have the same consequences as Leninism economically, just under a yellow banner rather than a red one.

The description of Milei is very badly done as you describe the person he was before politics (where he only was something like a funny economist) and you don't even put any context on the things he said. When he said "mogólico", he apologized 2 seconds later. When he talked about the elefant it was a metaphor. The "speaking to dead dogs" thing is just one of the many stupid lies told by the previous corrupt, decadent and egocentric government (they even had to say that "we are suffering a crisis caused by large economic growth"). You also forget about the entire context before Milei and don't talk about the disastrous administration led by the peronists/kierchnerists. If Milei hasn't won, we would've followed the same path that led us to the highest inflation rate in the world. But i guess you wouldn't make any video about it because of your ideology. Also most of the protests led by the oposition are impossible to take serious. They call "anti-democratic" to send law projects to the congress. They physically attack you if you don't join them on their marchs. Many people have even been threathen to do so. Seing people protesting doesn't automatically mean they are right. They don't even do it peacefully and say they are being oppressed when they break the law. It's really fun to see. Lastly, you don't explain your point on why any of the things Milei wants to do is bad for the country. You don't explain why it is bad to erase corrupt, useless ministries when we are suffering deficit. You probably didn't inform yourself well about that. Milei stopped paying public money to ideologycally aligned TV Channels and they call him authoritharian for it. He achieved superavit and peronists still complain. He is lowing the inflation after the initial pike and peronists still complain. He succesfully augmented the rent houses offert by also lowering the prices and they complain. They atribute the inflations fault to Milei when he has been president for only three months. And i'm not even telling you the amount of lies the peronist media still says about everything (they even interview paid actors). Only people who live outside of Argentina (and peronist fanatics) take them seriouslly. And that's because you don't understand the actual context of the country and how peronism works. And because of the amount of fake stupidity out there, you probably never will.
@RavignonCh
@RavignonCh 4 ай бұрын
I see a lot of people like you confused about my case and its purpose. I do not seek to contextualise Milei or give him credence because he, like libertarianism overall, is ridiculous. The purpose of this video is to consider the fact of the election of Milei and lay out how one may oppose him effectively -- especially liberals and leftists in Argentina and abroad who may not want to feel powerless after the fact of his election. I am a leftist, and I am more interested in mobilising people who have my worldview than changing the minds of those who don't, nice as that would be. If you are an uncritical Milei supporter instead of one of the people who voted for him to punish UP, many who as of today widely disapprove of him barely a few months into his government, this video is not intended for you. You will, obviously, disagree with the premise and the call to action -- and I don't care. I hope Argentina survives Milei and I hope I've motivated enough people to act in a way that safeguards the country. Mucho amor de parte de un mexicano 💙
@mariomesa1691
@mariomesa1691 4 ай бұрын
In that case, it would not make any sense to even debate about it. Since you will still see Milei as a threath to an already broken country because of your ideology and people crying about problems that Argentina has always had, but only see now that Milei got to president. But if all of you want to keep yourselves inside of a leftist bubble and blame whatever Milei does without looking all the destruction caused by the previous governments, and not even talk about the good things he produces, it's your problem. Me and the other 56% of people who voted him are happy about it. You wont be back in charge if you wait for something to happen. You have to win the cultural battle. Most of people now hate peronism and probably wont vote for it again. Even if things go wrong for him, everyone with common sense knows the context of the crisis we are going through. So if leftists just keep complaining about dumb stuff or issues impossible to solve in such a short amount of time without offering soultions, you wont be taken seriouslly and will loose. But whatever, hopefully the left doesn't do a coup claiming the democracy is broken (Milei just sent a law to the congress and he lost). I hold you respect for at least saying "it's just 4 years". Since that is what everyone who lost an election should do. Saludos desde Argentina, gracias
