As a Belizean, it feels crazy that I found your channel just a couple weeks before this video! As Norm said, I'm pretty sure that was a nurse shark that came to hang out; there are tours out there where you can go swimming with nurse sharks and stingrays, so of all the sharks it could've been, you lucked out. I hope you get to spend some time checking out some other parts of Belize, there's so much to see. Can't wait for the next video!

I'm still about halfway through, but I hope everything stays ideal out there. I learned the hard way in the Florida Keys that when you're just in the open water, that breeze that feels nice is also rapidly pushing storms all over the place and it can go from sunny to ten foot visibility with just sheer walls of rain. THAT was not a fun trip back to the canal, trying to get there as quick as possible without getting power washed by rain the size of nickels going sideways into the face at about 20 knots, you end up soaked regardless and the waves become genuinely unkind to the act of standing or sitting in one place.

Dudes!! I'm originally from South Carolina, and we used to do 'Hobo Dinners' on camping trips! Mom would use chicken leg quarters, potatoes, onions, broccoli, carrots... whatever veggies she had and we cooked them in the fire in tinfoil just like this.
