Surviving A -47C POLAR VORTEX in Banff Alberta
This past winter, a polar vortex hit Banff and Western Canada with temperatures ranging from -25 to -40 Celsius. I just so happened to be in Calgary and Banff at the peak of the vortex, and this is my 96-hour attempt to both survive AND thrive in this crazy weather.

The coldest I have been in... -52F and I was up in Yellowknife NWT. Notice the "F". Glad to say I am in the "Aldergrove BC cold" now... which really isn't that cold!

I like your comments at the end of the video about getting out and doing stuff no matter what; however, I have a limit as to what is too cold and y'all surpassed it. I am from Virginia and I have lived in Georgia and South Carolina and if it is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit I stay indoors.

One winter we went lake Louise to ski. It was -30 and they closed the ski resort so we stayed at the Chateau and I spent the day in the hot tub and sauna. That night i was sick from heat exhaustion Doh!
