The expressions on all the dogs faces, snuggled up while you played D&D, said Bliss, said “I am snug and cosy and with my humans, what’s better than this”.

Wes no need to apologise for worrying about the storm. We had 69 mile an hour winds. The boat was rocking which was not too bad but the banging on the roof from solar panels, roof hatch, doors rattling just put me on edge. I had headphones on all day listening to Christmas music and doing jigsaws. So glad it’s over. 24 hours was a long time. Great vlog as always xx

Arthur Christmas is my favourite, grandson and I have just watched it last night. Arthur has lots of fears too Wes, had to face all of them though. Then number two is Prep and Landing 1,2 and all the shorts. Also Rise of the Guardians even though it’s not really a Christmas specific but the little elves are just so sweet. Terrible storm and a crowded visit with friends, great memories to share though . 🙋🏼‍♀️🥰

Big shout out to your friends. I think they really helped you stay a bit Carmer in the worst storm recored in the UK. Their dogs really helped Rufus stay brave. Shame about your poo bin. I totally felt for Wes and his anxiety which was totally warranted in thus situation. So relieved to see you all stayed safe.

Hi Amy and Wes the one good thing about being in the marina you can secure to mooring rings where if you were on a canal somewhere you might have mooring pins in the ground and you would be worried about the pins pulling out stay safe and happy vlogmas

Looks like being in a marina does have it’s advantages especially during wind storms. I imagine being buffeted by winds on a narrow section of the cut wouldn’t be much fun. Not even thinking of power supplies and the like.😊 That’s the holiday spirit making the most of a bleh situation.

I'm always torn between being scared of storms, overstimulated AF, and exhilarated! Weird feeling. I was watching the planes on bigjettv, they were having a fun time of it! I feel like we don't get storms like that here, we certainly don't have named storms unless they're cyclones.

Awww,... thanks for mentioning me in your VlogMas.... I haven't had much time to sit & watch but I love to binge watch. I try to sit and watch but sometimes I'm just cleaning or organizing ,,,,, I love to rewatch them so I can really get tucked in and get the full experience when I am watching instead of getting sidetracked..Hopefully the hack helped and adding salt or sugar or sand ... can help as an exfoientt( and a nail brush!) just an FYI there is an orange product out there doing the same thing but making your own Is way better!!!!

With D&D played to drown out the din, And jigsaws done, though pieces were thin, They braved the storm with laughter and cheer, Counting the hours ’til calm drew near.

I live NW Scotland, wind is normal. Would rather be on narrow boat than house. Having said that, my daughter was filming trees at the bottom of garden, and one was blown down, narrowly missing next door neighbours house. The bits missing in jig saw would totally floor me. 🙂 Its great you are talking about anxiety, it can affect anyone, some of us more than others, but lets git it out there. Me ADHD, high function autistic. I think that's the correct way to describe it. So totally on board with your anxiety and ........ actually Ami and my missus could have an entertaining conversation together. 🙂 I have put too much mustard on my ham and tomatoe pitta. Heavy.

the tree right by my front door is rocking at the roots. the ground is all cracked and moving with every gust of wind it is scary as the tree is actually taller than the house

Wes, add a teaspoon of white granulated sugar to the wash liquid in you hand, it acts as an abrasive giving as better clean up.

We only had 40 to 50 mph winds here in the Highlands, which is pretty normal for us, it's odd to see down south get it worse than here. 'Spose it will be back to the usual way around soon enough though. And Wes, don't fret, it's the way poo bin wanted to go. It's a noble end for a boat poo bin after a life of pooey service, sailing off into the storm, one last adventure.
