Scott is actively involved in his Scott Hamilton C.A.R.E.S. Foundation (Cancer Alliance for Research, Education & Survivorship), Chemocare.com and RadCare.org & patient mentoring program. He serves on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics International, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and Provision Center for Proton Therapy.

Isn't it so sad that the insurance companies are more worried about the money they will make, and NOT the health of their members! I worked in a large hospital and got to meet patients who had different stages of cancer; both young and old! I honestly have to say that those patient faced this devastating disease with dignity, persistence and hope! What these patients had to endure is beyond comprehension! THERE HAS TO BE A SPECIAL PLACE IN HEAVEN FOR THOSE WHO FOUGHT SO DILIGENTLY, YET LOST THE BATTLE! Someone has to get their priorities straight!

I am in favor for Proton Therapy. It works and like Scott says it is precise. They say cancer will affect everybody so we should learn as much as possible about the options and this is one of them. They say heart attacks and strokes caused by plaques will be in the past. Cancer will take over. It is said, but we have to prepare so that we wont be taken by surprise. This is a great speech made by Scott.

Thank you. I was diagnosed with Stage 4A Ductal Prostate Cancer. They told me that I was not a candidate for proton therapy. I think it was an issue with the insurance company. I had surgery, 38 rounds of traditional radiation and two years on Lupron, Zytiga with prednisone. Last December I went into remission. However I am now dealing with horrific side effects. Just found out three days ago they found a tumor in my brain. Oh well...

try bitter apricot seeds,,,,must be bitter, that's the same as vitamin b17. eat 30 a day ,,,look it up on here...and look up on here 'how fenbendozole is curing my brain cancer'. good luck...theres plenty vids on both and also look up liquid vitamin c...it's got a certain name which I forget so just look up liquid fit c.....these 3 things attack cancer , maybe doesn't work for everybody but you will bw encouraged. W e must help cure ourself.

My proton therapy experience was Horrible!!! I have a tumor the size of a peach on the side of my neck, squamous cell carcinoma, They suggested proton therapy, I could only do 5 exposures HORRIBLE PAIN with proton out of 38 that they wanted me to do, the PAIN was so severe that I had to STOP ,,, Causing the cancer to spread throughout my body and NOW I am (TERMINAL) Stage 4b,,,,, Thank you for the death Sentence Dr. Sturgeon at Irving Proton Therapy of Texas,,,,,,
