That Little Wren looks pretty good. I wonder how well it would thrive in a Kratky tote.

It would do well. It's a pretty hardy plant and grows fast so i think it would be worth a try

I wish i would have covered my strawberries. The deer broke tge fencing down (they do it every winter ) and they habe chewed all the leaves off from my berry plants. I know they are not thr only naughy critter because rabbits have left behind their little calling cards too. I think its because the deep snow allows them to break down one section of my fence. I look forward to watching the progress of the berries all season

The animals do make growing things hard for us that's for sure. It is a constant battle to outsmart them. I hope they come back for you.

I see the potential of having multiple tiers of berries in your high tunnel. I like the way that the round bale seemed to fluff open when placed for the cattle, easy eating for contented cows.

Thanks. I am looking at putting levels on the system I want to install between the greenhouses. Would be easier to root baby plants too.

Wow!! I guess I'm about to triple/quadruple my baby bok choy production thanks to you! I'm just a hobbyist and have always thinned down to one seed per cube and just used more channels. I always thought crowding would be an issue. This is great news for me. Now I can allocate those extra channels for more mizuna.

Excellent work. Your videos are very relaxing. Do you own a heat sealer? Also doing an a-frame with multiple levels of beto buckets on the strawberries is totally doable and would give you a bigger crop. Totally worth it.

Yes, we have a heat sealer that we use to package our English cucumbers. I am looking at a multiple level system for the channels I want to install outside. I think it would work great and I would be able to root babies easier.

I'd like to have your corn beef recipe if you'd like to share

2 quarts water 1 cup kosher salt 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cinnamon stick, broken into several pieces 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 1 teaspoon black peppercorns 8 whole cloves 8 whole allspice berries 12 whole juniper berries 2 bay leaves, crumbled 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 2 pounds ice 1 (4 to 5 pound) beef brisket, trimmed Just heat everything up until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool or use ice to cool put meat into a zip lock bag and cover with brine. Let it sit in the refrigerate for about 10 days and it's good to go. If you want to have the red corn beef look add 2 teaspoons of pickling salt (salt peter). I don't use because I don't like sulfates but yeah that's it... Pretty easy and much better for you than store bought. Good Luck!!!

Was there an update on how the grow bags did vs the bato buckets? I'm thinking of doing grow bags like you started last year
@HomegrownPassion
@HomegrownPassion 4 ай бұрын
They both performed well. We did a video; it was one of the last videos we did last year. The buckets produced more berries and the bags had bidder berries don't know why but we are adding more bags this year, so we like them.

What nutrients do you use for the strawberries? I have never been successful with strawberries :(

Strawberries are easy. We started with an all-in-one fertilizer from Millers i thin it was 12-12-12 which worked fine. Now we use bulk, and I had a horticulturist make me up a recipe based on my source water. We inject through a dosatron system. That formula made a huge difference. There are a couple videos on the channel from last year. Check it out.
