The Sandra one is almost 100 percent confirmed that she was in fact dead in the water if the drake tribe goes to tribal in either of the first two rounds. Sandra was just very antisocial those first couple of days, and Burton hadn’t started blowing up his own game yet to provide them with an alternate target

It wasn't just Fairplay and Burton who said Sandra would have been voted out episode 1 had Drake lost that challenge, on the Pearl Islands DVD commentary with Sandra, Rupert and Christa both say that had Drake lost that first challenge Sandra probably would have been voted out and those ended up being her two strongest allies in the game.

It came down to beauty vs brawn on the puzzle and brawn had lost their goggles on the underwater portion thanks to Darnell. Had that not happened it's entirely possible Michele goes home there. This just goes to prove how much luck really DOES matter in Survivor. There's certainly incredible players that were just flops on their first season and never got the chance again to show they had game. Look at Wentworth and Lacina, Lacina especially has proven her worth dominating a season and coming a few seconds away in a fire making showdown from probably winning another season. Yet her first season she gets to the merge in the most powerful position and somehow manages to screw it all up. Absolutely no one thought she was a great player based on her first outing.

Cirie is DEFINITELY more likely to flip than Fairplay. Fairplay would LOVE the chaos of a potential rock draw, and he's too into himself to be the one to lose a game of chicken. Also, this would have been before Cirie solidified her decision to join the couples after her fight with Penner.

My analysis of the contestants listed and chances of being first boot: Richard: From my understanding, Sonja was always intended to be first boot because from the beginning she was getting hurt/clearly was struggling to get in the environment. Richard was supposed to be second boot though until him coming out in day 3 though. Sandra: This one is pretty much 100% she's first boot Parvati: I've heard mixed things on this one, for a while I heard Parvati but recently I've heard it actually probably would've been Amanda Michele: Hard to say this one was guaranteed but good chance Nick: This one is kind of up in the air still but I'd say there's a good chance with him also

Honourable mention to Cirie on Exile Island. She was the target on the “older” women’s tribe being a self proclaimed couch potato and being very freaked out about leaves. And then she convinced the rest of the tribe to vote out the lumber jill. At that moment I was CONVINCED Cirie was going to win cause that was some serious gameplay.

That Micronesia theoretical has me laughing, cuz imagine it is a tie, and Fairplay and Cirie correctly don't wanna go to rocks,,, and both flip, thus going to rocks! Survivor somehow makes me wonder about the butterfly effect the most. All the 'what-ifs' survivor has in its run is great. What if Cirie was chosen to go home over whats her face in exile island, what if Ibrahim just decides to stay in the game instead of letting Bobby John vote him out, what if Candice decided to make villainous choices instead of heroic ones. There are many more, but the knock on effects are fun to ponder.

Season 41 - Erika, even though they never went to tribal, had her tribe gone she would be out. Deshawn and Danny literally tried to throw a challenge just so that she could be voted out. Had Nasseer not won single-handedly, Erika would have been the first out from her team.

I'm guessing cause they didn't even end up losing and therefore the story had no actual affect on the game, they painted their own picture to make Erika look like this big underdog fighting at the bottom of her tribe.

I like the idea that a Sean win would usher in forty-six seasons of alphabetical voting. But there was a method to his madness. If it had worked, the boot order from the merge would have been: Colleen, Gervase, Greg, Gretchen, Jenna, Kelly, Rich, Rudy. So Sean gets the benefit of the pagonging, and is actively involved in making it happen, but does so in such a way that no one on Pagong holds it against him. And he faces the jury sitting next to the most unlikeable member of the tribe. Not as dumb an idea as you might think, at least not in the only season where most of the cast considered going it alone a virtue.

He should’ve just voted with the Tagis and created bonds with one of the pairs to reach FTC. For the Parvati one, I find it likely that Ami and Eliza probably would’ve flipped. Ami was close with Ozzy and gotten along with Parv (according to Parv in an interview with Tyson “Micronesia Rewatch”) and Eliza herself flipped on Penner at the third vote. Ami and Eliza were not necessarily 100% with Penner, the editing just needed to simplify their roles in the narrative

I personally don’t think Nick was the closest to being the first boot of the people on this list. Yes, his name was very much on the block, but it was still up in the air. Sandra and Michele, on the other hand, were far closer to going home than Nick was. While it was up in the air for Nick, it was a dead set consensus boot for Sandra and Michele, who would’ve been dead women walking had they lost immunity and gone to Tribal Council. Another Survivor KZbinr I watch states that even Rupert, one of Sandra’s closest allies later on, stated that Sandra would’ve been the first boot. If Rupert said that, it’s very likely that he would’ve been correct, and Sandra would’ve been the first boot had Morgan not stripped naked in the middle of the challenge. Michele is also very likely the boot, especially with Julia, her closest ally later on, saying so. Personally, I think Nick was as in danger as Parvati in Micronesia, where it definitely could’ve been them, but it’s still up in the air. Closer to first boot than Sandra and Michele, though? Absolutely not.
