I just LOVE this!!! It's been said that we really only fall in love with three people in our lifetime. Yet, it's said that we need each of these loves for a different reason. Often our first is when we are young, high school even. It's the idealistic love; the one that seems like the fairytales we are all read as children. It's a love that looks right. The second is supposed to be our hard love; the one that teaches us lessons about who we are and how we often want or need to be loved. Sometimes it's unhealthy, unbalanced or narcissistic even. One of the few things I’ve seen posted that is 100% absolutely without a doubt true. It’s been 14 years and it’s not the slightest bit easier today than the day she walked away. That depends Amanda. The pain is real as you know and it depends on how connected your heart was and still is in it. Sometimes it takes years for it to just feel better. I know the pain, my best friend, my love died after a long illness and it still hurts incredibly. Death isn't that much different than the death of a relationship because you still don't have them in your life and many cases you never see them again.
