In this episode, I put my road tune up against the tuner. The Atom X is installed and working well with the 4A-GE. I spent two weeks driving and recording runs to get as good a road tune as I could get without blowing up the motor. The tuner will then use the dyno to see how much more power there was to unlock.
The Link ECU is a solid option for the 4A-GE. The original ECU's are getting old and can suffer from aging related issues such as blown capacitors. A Link ECU is a modern solution that also comes with a good bump in performance.
Which do you think will make more power, the road tune or dyno tune?
