@@debrahubbard763 Oh yes they definitely did and he said in an interview that he was very protective of her. He felt like he’s known her her whole life since she was so young when she started. I do believe that he was Bi in the 80s and that he met Ron glass which was a black man that played on the Barney Miller show and then he went completely gay. He also did have a thing with Elizabeth Taylor, but that would’ve been in the 80s. He also mentioned in an interview that when Demi Moore was on the show after Lara left that he found her quite sexy and she also had a sexy voice, but again that was in the 80s. It’s just hard to believe that he and Janey didn’t have something else because they just made it look so real. The way he looked at her and kissed her everywhere pretty much above the breasts. If he was kissing my neck like that I would go wild.

Genie Francises acting here unbelievable her ability to project so much older just amazing .. they really ripped her off not giving her an Emmy during this period ..an Emmy ,she deserved an Oscar.. and so did he . And Anthony Geary, ,this guys acting was just ..the word, what's the word ? Psychotically good ? This guys a crazy gifted actor . I have heard that Anthony Geary is gay, which I suspect is true,but I also heard he had a two year affair with Elizabeth Taylor that he valued highly. Who knows! The scenes with Genie Francis are sure smokin' hot! I sometimes wonder if he decided not to continue with L and L storyline because she was then married in the 90s and maybe when he went to Amsterdam he fully embraced his gay lifestyle. He did say in an interview that he got tired of the L and L storyline - not early on, I don't think, but I think as it went along. And I think that is probably because, like anything else that typecasts you, he felt typecast as Luke. I do prefer young Luke to older Luke. It seemed like, in the 2001 L and L story, he was so mellow - TOO mellow - and she was too fiesty. It was like she was a pain in the neck and he didn't have a backbone, something he always had in spades early on, even tho he had a pretty bad temper as a young Luke. Makes me wonder if they had a romantic entanglement and parted company and he thought it best to leave it be. It always seemed like she teared up every time he spoke to her; I got the feeling her feelings for him ran deep. They probably do, regardless of whether there were every any romantic feelings or not.

And when he bursts through the door he's crazed. He had to be thinking either Robert or Dr. Wheeler was with her.. I guess Claudia's advice finally paid off. Having her in his arms again seemed like a release, at least for a bit.

Someone to pass the time until her "true love" appears. Robert he's a bit harder to read. He could ultimately make it more if given the chance and you almost think that Luke has an idea that could be the case, which is probably why he goes a bit beserk as he burst through the door.

And I am SOOO enjoying seeing all these old clips I remember RACING home fomr "elementary" school trying to get in as much of the show as I could. I love this scene! If I remember correctly, GH that day opened with this scene and as I watched, I remember screaming, "OMG! He's kissing her!" If I had DVR back then I would have played this scene back about a hundred times! It's one of my favorite!

Why did they mess up this spectacular display of fireworks of the best love story to grace daytime T.V. and most any form of entertainment? Their love story is what fans want to see in hopes of finding this kind of love someday!I will never understand why! To the fans it was and is what dreams are made of.Watching in 2019,I wish they would get TG back to give this story the wonderful ending Luke and Laura deserve for the fans who would rather watch these clips than most anything!They just don't seem to understand how important this is to everyone who has watched this couple all these years through good times and bad.All the stupid write ins they fed us just to make the story more interesting to them, but the fans never bought the Nicolas'and the Ethan's,and affairs because we know how LNL's love was and is.It can with stand anything!They are the heroes in our eyes and always will be even if we have to ignore the stupidity that they threw in to destroy them.We choose to write our own endings than believe what they tried to get us to except!!

I agree that the writers have really messed up the L&L story. But TG didn't want to keep L&L together forever. He wanted to go on to other characters & opportunities. He had a lot of creative input and influence on the show. Plus, he never liked the idea that their romance started with Luke's rape of Laura.

@@katydalton4759 No matter what he thinks the fans love them together.The show has never been much since they broke them up.Regardless how the story started with them,their love always overcame the obstacles.I won't ever watch it again unless they end their story like it should have been done with them together!!It did start wrong, but Laura dealt with it and she loved Luke like no one else!!!Their chemistry lit the screen up!!!!

I really don't understand why Laura had to go anywhere because of Diane Taylor being killed. I guess I didn't realize the Webbers and Taylors were that close. I was pretty focused on Luke and Laura at that time and must have missed some of that storyline. The writers should have let Laura and Luke have that full night to make love and completely reconnect. They don't go to Beecher's Corners until their honeymoon.
