AGF’s sustainability consultant Victoria Gomez speaks with Mark Tyler and Paul Gilbey from Nu Group Services Limited about the innovative back-of-house sorting facilities implemented at the festival.
With NU Group, we established a sorting facility using repurposed wooden pallets to manage the mixed #recycling collected from front-of-house bins. The recycling waste was meticulously sorted into categories, including cans, plastics, e-waste, cardboard, glass, and general waste, ensuring proper disposal and improvements in recycling practices.
This initiative aimed to gather data on the waste stream's cross-contamination levels at Uber One Presents All Points East, providing valuable insights for stakeholders to inform future #waste management decisions.
