+Missy Costa this is what they want you to believe. it sounds so pretty when you say it that way. how could anyone not be for it right?? wrong. you really need to do some research. it is a truly diabolical plan

Why don't you share your viewpoints on how she is wrong using your "research" rather than just dismissing it as a "diabolical plan" without any substantive argument?

Here in Septemeber 2021 and I completely agree with Kitty van der Heijden. Good work. Also, before you come for me with any negative comment, review your goals on sustainable development first.

An excellent synthesis of the global issues we face today. Ignorance is no longer an option; the facts will remain the facts whether you have the blinkers on or not. Skepticism for skepticism's sake will also get us nowhere. We as a species have just enough time left to take a good, honest look at ourselves and our impact on the world and each other. Procrastination is not an option.

Gore said the same things. Pollution is a issue, but it isn't as bad as they say. The PHD who developed the climate models said they are not consistent or accurate. She needs to talk at China or India. They will give her the finger.

What she says about animal agriculture being the biggest polluter and contributor to global warming is true as well. I became vegan a year and a half ago because it just makes sense for all reasons: for the environment, our own health, and to save the animals from suffering needlessly for our selfish traditions (not to mention all the wildlife and rainforest destroyed in order to make room for grazing animals or to grow GMO seeds for these animals to eat to get unnaturally fat for our gluttony). Everyone should watch Cowspiracy the Sustainability Secret documentary and everyone should research The Venus Project, which has two documentaries on youtube. These are the answers to all of our world problems. We just need to wake up, reject the current systems in which we live and lead ourselves and each other in a better more logical direction. We are not above other species, and many times we prove we are stupider than them by our foolish actions. We need to evolve into the people we're meant to be and stop acting childish.

+Heather Riede ma'ham you are far to naive to understand whats really going on. looks can be diabolically deceiving. youd better do some research. you forget that you have every right to be here are those cows grazing in the pastures. you didnt just land here from a spaceship. it is your birth right to cultivate this land to benefit you and your family. there is absolutely nothing wrong with our current way of life. our way of conserving wildlife and nature is fine the way it is as well. for you and others like you to think it is ok for the government to tell you what when where and how to live your life is outrageous. the common good is only here because of us. the problem is the government we have presiding over us. they know that even if some people dont go along with their agenda, the many mindless and ignorant will come running. please educate yourself. there is much you need to know.

“In searching for the new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill... The real enemy, then, is humanity itself.” - Alexander King and Bertrand Scneider: The First Global Revolution, report for the Club of Rome, P 115. Sustainability has nothing to do with ecology; it is about global domination. If the UN cared about the environment they would sanction multi-nationals instead of the people. Just like Terrorism, Sustainability will be used to rob us of our liberties and rights

in a developing country, rarely 1% people are care about the environment, i.e., they are care about future and efficient use of resources, protecting environment. rest are care about the price and how do they live more luxurious lifestyle.

People here saying she isn't giving credit to capitalism are horribly under educated. Capitalism is the reason half the world lives in poverty. For capitalism to work it has to be constantly fed with resources. Resources is something most rich capitalist countries do not have in abundance but guess which countries do...we have stopped other countries industrialising to make sure we can continue to live the way we do.
@SaneMillennial
@SaneMillennial 9 жыл бұрын
That's why we need to just abolish the monetary system and create a resource based economy as it's the only way to really include what our world can output and what people really need. Machines can do the repetitive jobs most people do, yet are fast being replaced already by machines, and then that frees people up to actually study ways to really better the world and give more real richness to life in our relationships to each other. Please research The Venus Project if you haven't yet. There are people trying to lead the way in this, but the word has to get out, and people have to become more educated and stop thinking we need to keep these old corrupt systems going which doesn't benefit anyone or anything in the end, and causing the destruction of our world.

+demetri savvides i believe you are right. we should go back to the times when George Washington was president. before there was a property tax. when it was illegal to tax wealth and illegal to tax without representation. o wait a minute. isnt this still illegal today???? hmmm i think its time this sleepy country shakes all these televisual dreams from its head and starts taking back their birth right. their God given right. what right does a human being have to tell another how to live their lives. its our right to live here just like the wild life they claim to want to protect. and if the darwinist really believe in evolution, they should know that curving human contact would be devastating to say the least. i am Christian so to me all this has already been prophesied. even if you are not Christian, the Bible is very foretelling. but then, if you do read it, you would have to answer many questions about yourself.

Now,now, there is no need for hurtful language.The cheap emotional stuff was the little card she held up,the references to reproductive rights,and the children dying thing.She should rather talk about HOW and WHY all those issues are better now and are continuing to improve. We need to protect the environment!! Her left wing delusions are about the environment,multi-nationals,biodiversity,climate change,fossil fuels,and ocean acidification.She is wrong on all of them.

Climate change denier??No I am not.I dont deny that the climate changes,it has been doing that for millions of years.Even in the last 8000 years we have seen warm periods and cold periods,mild weather and extreme weather,droughts and floods.For the last 200 years we have had a mild warming[.75 C],and that warming appears to have stopped around 1998-2000.The cause of both is largely unknown.Care to add anything?

The population must be controllably and naturally reduced by a factor of 3-4 in a few generations. Consumption must be cut: in US, Canada, Australia by 30 times; in EU, India and China by 20times. If we don't do that by selves, wars and calamities will do it for us. We can't rely on technology and R&D. It's that simple. People of all levels of affluence and wealth are incapable to absorb this simple truth to the actionable degree of emotional intensity. And the richer people are, the more cancerous to Earth they become. We are doomed.

New thinking will be required to achieve the SDGs. Achieving the SDGs requires the partnership of governments, private sector, civil society and citizens alike to make sure we leave a better planet for future generations. Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. New thinking and collaborative actions will be high required to achieve the SDGs. If you keep on asking what caused this problem you will always end up with money problem. A tree is worth lot more when it is not standing, why, because of money. You stopped at Hippo, why not still ask why, and you will find money. So money is the root cause of all problems, yet we do not need money to run an economy. The present economy can be maintained in the exact same way without an kind of money. So get rid of money and create money-less economy (MLE). MLE will solve all problems you have mentioned and yet will give us the lifestyle you want. Under MLE we all work free and get everything free. Since nobody wants to horde free things, all resources will become abundant, and sustainability issue will vanish along with pollution. Take a look at the MLE chapter in the free book at - theoryofsouls.wordpress.com/
