Recently I've had some interesting experiences when meditating. It feels like I'm on the cusp of fully letting go but I get scared and resist because it feels like I'm going to fall apart. I want reassurance that it'll be ok if I completely let go.

From the perspective that time passes or flows, the illusion of separate self is indeed born, slowly as the ego develops in early childhood. In the same sense, a rainbow is born, yet never to be touched. As steam shall rise, or streams shall flow, the preference of one's parts, is to join itself.

You just limited the dreams to 8 billion, it seems that the proported death if the ego has led to a super ego. There are flaws in your attemp to destroy everything, choosing destruction rather than creation as if therein lies the answer. If you keep throwing the word nothingness at the universe, it doesn't make it so. I'm not sure why you seem obsessed with trying to believe that nothing actually exists. Looking at the universe from the macroscopic perspective, and not knowing the goings on in an ant colony for example, doesn't mean there aren't actual journeys going on. It woukd appear that you are trying to see the universe from God's perspective without the knowing and ordination of all happenings because you are not him. Since you are not him, understandably you would have 0 knowledge of the goings on of anything including our own simple minds and hearts and journeys. There is a possibility that you cannot die from the self because perhaps you are actually you, although I understand the desire to get away or die to oneself. Perhaps what is so terrifying is trying to escape from oneself and see the universe from God's perspective, whom we are not. One of the wisest and simple things ever told to me is that there is a God and I'm not him. Is seems that you are trying to gain the understanding of the Lord when you are not the Lord. In that case, I wouldn't take your musings as truth. With that in mind, I woukd caution listeners on the presentation of these musings as truth I hope in the future you stop using the word "love" to describe what you see at the end of nothingness Since you fail to clarify what you mean by that word. If you mean pure existence then say that. Don't say love if you don't mean live. Words have neaning. In the beginning was the word, and the word was God. Since you started by saying that words are meaningless or don't exist, it seems that you are trying to kill God, be God, or understand things from God's perspective. There is a possibility that this is not possible.
