Sitting around doing nothing is a nice thing. The Earth just sits around spinning. The trees and rocks aren't going anywhere. I spend way to much time not doing much of anything most people would say. I'm literally in my room like 20 hours a day 5 days a week. I'm more alone then most people in prisons lol and I'm just fine. I am perfectly fine with the aloneness. I don't get lonely, it's just calm neutrality.

I once heard Thich Nhat Hanh say there is nothing you can do to help another person avoid suffering in their life as each person has a karmic destiny that cannot be changed. The benefits of a diet and spiritual realization are both believed thoughts happening in that body mind, both are the dream of mind, both described in words, in thoughts, in concepts in an apparent mind. Maybe someone starts a healthy diet and a healthy exercise regime, they feel great, great enough to go on an extreme run up a mountain, they fall and die. Would that be beneficial? Eveything is an interpretation of mind, non of it is true, unless we believe it to be.

We are here to learn. Sometimes when we meet someone we get hurt by them. The next person coming into our lives will hurt us again and maybe in the same way until we learn. This happens with everything in life. We chose our suffering. If we do not learn from it we will have to come again and again until we learn the lesson. When we realize that nothing in life is truely ours we let go of more and more. We do control absolutely nothing in life, even if you say you do control your own life. You don't. You can't control others or anything non human. If you try to control you end up with how the world currently looks like. A chaos inside of you. You may think you are at peace but you never truely feel home. ESPECIALLY around others. It is rare for you to meet someone that you feel safe and at home. I'm not speaking about romantic love. All of that is gone anyway by one day. Let go of the need to control everything. Let go of the people around you because you don't own them. Let go of the need to understand everything. You own only the energy that is your body. You own only the decision why you came here for what reason. Will you fullfill why you came here?

Spiritual teachings try to direct you to a realization or awakening, depending on the Religion. The teachings itself aren’t the absolute , but they do show the way in which to walk, so that one may come to the fruit of their spiritual path. But what are those fruits? Only those who walk to the other end of the shore will know. Because truth is inexpressible. There are no words to describe truth. Attempt to describe it and you will miss it. Only the knower knows. Those who have arrived know, that the sky is too vast, and words are too small to describe its beauty and true nature.

That’s a nice question; what’s reality . We perceive through senses , so there are eight billion realities around at the same time and none of them it’s wrong 😂 I like when Alan W talks about how we tend to confuse simbols and words with reality . Hundred years ago science and knowledge was at a different point compared to now , at the time what was written and said was taken as an absolute warranty, as reality , now we’ve moved on and we have new ideas , new vision over life and that’s again being labelled as truth and correct. So comes up even animals are smarter even though they don’t evolve building fast cars and hang around dressed with syintetic clothing . Awareness has become dangerous and who dares to have it will indeed pay for it .

It's strange how different spiritual teachers teach. "It's all unbelievably neutral" is not how Adyshanti or say Rupert spira, or even how Rumi would describe it. In fact, relationships, (although there is no "relationship" ) conventionally speaking, seem to improve! I've never heard anyone call this neutral, instead just like John Astin says everything has un fathomable depth, and beauty, or freedom, and, miraculousness. And even teachers like Rupert spira have said, passion and working at something in life can be increased after awakening, once the passion is on behalf of the whole. He has a video on it on KZbin. I don't know, there's just a lot of dull no self teachings out there, and I feel like it's only one side of the coin, not realizing the joy and happiness, and excitement for life, relationships, work, play, etc etc are the other side of that same coin. Suffering goes, but also pleasure goes and a lot of excitement goes....I feel like if that's experience, then something is not being seen, Ie.. the other side of the coin

Both sides of the coin and the coin itself are only appearing in the mental illusion of believed thought constructs. Opposites only appear with words and labels. No believed words, no believed concepts then no believed answers and therefore no questions asked. This whole affaire is so simple, it's only words and thoughts that say otherwise, always bouncing of one edge to another in an imaginary dance of meaning and purpose.

You may be able to pick apart my language here as Dualistic, but that's the nature of language. I'm trying to point to something deeper.

This whole thing that you seem to be interested in is exactly about that, what are words and concepts and stories about happiness and bliss and depression and terror all appearing in, the answer isn't in any belief system appearing in words, concepts or thought constructs. There's no attempt here to deny any appearance, including emotions, there's just the recognition that any interpretation of what's happening, using words, concepts and stories isn't actuality. This is about the simplest thing but the mind wants to understand it, put it in a successful happy me story with a great outcome. Seeing this isn't about happiness or arriving somewhere and if that's what you want I would seriously stop this search, of course you can't choose that but there's nothing wrong with living in the conceptuel story of me trying to achieve something and most so called individuals do and most so called teachers feed on that, thats fine. This is really about everything you've tried to avoid being faced square on, no words are needed for this, quite the opposite.

Perhaps nothingness could be better used to describe our level of ability to understand the mind of God or of our understanding of our experience here. However, I think that for all its trials and tribulations, joys and sorrows, most people would have to concur, Life is really "something ".
