Many available on e-bay that's what I used and they were fine. Consider changing the springs as well as they can weaken over use and time. Good luck.

It’s never going to be a speed machine however it is now very torquey and will sit comfortably at 70 mph. It’s more reminiscent of a good thumper which is what I was aiming for. Thanks for your interest.

Did you drain the oil to see the top dead center?

Several ways to find T D C I used the timing marks and a screwdriver in the spark plug hole. No need to drain oil as only a small amount will be in the timing case area.
