I own this bike and I must say that this bike is awesome. It is super comfortable and I am 6 feet tall. I drive it almost every day back and forth to work which is mostly interstate riding, 75 miles round trip. I manage 48mpg not babying the throttle. I don’t need luggage, and I don’t want to be bent over like on a street bike. Totally amazing bike

Same here. 100 miles round trip daily. This is the most comfortable sport bike ever, due to the upright sitting position. I think its the most under rated bike ever. I absolutely love this bike. Best bike I've ever owned and will never get rid of it. In fact if i ever total it, i'll get another one. lol

This is exactly the bike I have been waiting for. Comfortable sport bike. I'm not into overnight bike runs so luggage is a wasted extra weight penalty for me. And I'm not going to go to the track with this bike so looks good. Now just need the black one to be released in u.s.a

I think their is definitely a market for a comfortable sport bike, I want to ride super sports but due to a back condition i cant sit comfortably on a SS due to the low clip-ons....a bike like the GSXS-1000F is perfect for me comfort wise but also allows me to ride a sporty bike. well done Suzuki!

this is the model I have with the throttle snatch and "hunting" around 2 to 3k rpm, however Suzuki have a "recall" out that if you request it, they will supply the bike with a new ECU and that along with a TPS adjustment fixed about %90 of those issues. A wonderful bike to ride, comfortable with quick turn ins and confidence inspiring handling and brakes, wide renthal bars and a more upright sitting position makes the bike relaxing to ride over long distances or you can ride quite aggressively round tight and twisting mountain roads. Plenty of power down low which is where you want it on a road registered bike and thanks to the bars being Renthals, means if you ever want to switch them out to something that suits your style of riding more it's a piece of cake. Faired version has the twin headlights one for high beam and the other low, and joy of joys, both take the same globes so upgrading them to the Philips 130+ was easy and is recommended. I love the look of the naked version, but years ago had a globe blow out on me rounding a bend on a single light bike so i prefer the extra light and the safety that it provides. Wind deflection is excellent and keeps the noise down in the lid. I'm getting around 340klm's out of a tank before I panic fill it and whats interesting is the new ECU also improved the bikes mileage as well as it's power delivery.

@@TexasP00nTappa thats right, it's not a mandatory recall so they don't have to tell everyone about it (safety related etc) but I complained to the dealership where i bought it second hand and thats when I was told about it (i'd read it elsewhere as well), I had the swap which made it "better" and in the end bought a new throttle tube from Dale Holeshot and had an ECU flash and dyno carried out which smoothed it out over it's entire range. not much power gain but my oh my is it now linear

@@TexasP00nTappa ​ speak to your local dealer first about the issues because the bikes Vin umber is the key, failing that, speak to Suzuki US about it. I bitched about them not checking and fixing the issue prior to buying my bike as it was a known issue and they did nothing, but when I took it back after complaining to adjust the TPS sensor they found it's Vin was listed as a "voluntary" swap. For me it meant they fitted a later models ECU and adjusted the TPS which made it a hell of a lot better, but Dale Holeshot also sells a new throttle tube that's CNC machined with a different cam that is more gradual with the initial throttle opening (and it's silky smooth as well) www.holeshot.com/suzuki/gsx/1000/products/throttle-tamer

The throttle is a mechanical issue and is dialled out by removing the cable slack. I've done it, it works. Why Suzuki put it there in the first place is a mystery. Sorry but lack of hard luggage IS an issue Steve, considering Suzuki pitch this bike at the 40-something crowd! Ventura do a top box as part of their pack rack frame range. They also use a universal plate the same as found with Givi boxes so it should be interchangeable. Thank you New Zealand for solving that problem. You can also get coloured Brembo calipers. Mine are red and look the bollox

ToxicDonut81 This is marketed as a sport-tourer. All tourers need to be able to take pillion and luggage reasonably well.

You're right, Ventura do a great pack rack and pannier frame for the bike, there is a good video of it on Black Sheep Biker channel. With that luggage frame you can tour no problem. Ventura from New Zealand, awesome!

I thought the z1000sx had 120ish bhp, based on other journo reviews on KZbin and all the publicly available literature? Visordown also seems somewhat biased in not noting that the kawi is more buzzy (ergo, not so comfy in this department).

Even Suzuki doesn't make it a serious sport tourer like BMW F800GT no oem hard luggage and tail rack available. It's probably due to the conflict of interest of their own V STROM line up

the engine issues with constant speeds, that's been a problem forever with all GSXRs hasn't it? I have a L4 600 and it is the same pain in the bum.

My mate's just put straight bars on his GSXR1000 K3 and it's the same as riding this. He can't get hard luggage for that either.

It's not a sports tourer.... Why keep comparing it to the kwak.... It's like comparing a sports tourer with a sports bike. They do luggage for it now, because people couldn't get the fact it wasn't a tourer 🤦🏻‍♂️.
