Today i mock up the top yoke with one from a GSXR1100 to my Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa to see what a handlebar conversion will look like and feel like with normal bars, as this could be a possibility if i decide to keep the Busa

In the states we call the bars you need, Superbike Bars. K & N used to make these. Just the right amount of rise, and pullback. I know that you'd be happy. I have run them for years on the KZ/Z1 and the Suzuki GS1100. I love your idea of making the Hayabusa more streetable for a older rider or someone with spine issues. Good job Sir ! 🏍🇺🇸🏍

Hello Shameer, i used the LSL conversion kit ,if you type hayabusa handlebar conversion into Ebay you will find a selection of them, you will need to longer brake lines and clutch line but most of the kits include them

I love riding but lately ive been thinking of raising my bars. I m gonna do it because riding with the low bars sucks lean too forward and I got long arms (75" arms reach)

I found them to be great, im getting old and cant lean down as far, but love the bike so had to be done

Keep the busa and sell the street fighter; a hard decision to make and I don't envy you having to make it. Good luck 👍

How abut making adaptor blocks to go between the 4 holes in the lower top yoke and the risers from the GSXR top yoke?

They have bars that are made to just change out to raise up and all you do is slid the throttle grip and other left grip on to new z bar instead of doing all of this crap!dont forget to torche every one you've removed or you may get injured later,remove as less as possible. That could be very dangerous.Be safe bro.

Thanks Mike, appreciate your comment, i did look at several options of riser before opting for the LSL kit, it felt comfortable for me

Are those caps that you first took off reusable?

@@TheAmateurBikeBuilder thank you, I appreciate the video. I ordered a lowering triple tree and it just came today. Your video is the only one I've found that shows the removal. You just used a razor blade to make a mark that the screwdriver can grab on to?
@TheAmateurBikeBuilder
@TheAmateurBikeBuilder 4 жыл бұрын
@@busavalley8695 glad it was of some help to you , just use the razor blade to lift the cap high enough to get a small screwdriver under to pop the cap off

@@TheAmateurBikeBuilder got it! Thank you for the clarification. I've read that when I loosen the lower triple tree to be careful because the weight of the bike can drop the front end quick. I have rear stand and a flat jack that I want to use for the front. Do you have a video that shows the best place to put the jack, for the front end?
@TheAmateurBikeBuilder
@TheAmateurBikeBuilder 4 жыл бұрын
@@busavalley8695 not really, the episode where the front end comes out is Suzuki Hayabusa - Part 57 - Removal of the front end, by this time i had bought an Abba Skylift which is an amazing piece of kit and made the job so much easier.

Why not sell the busa as is then finish off the fighter and the 650 and sell one of those when done? Then onto the next project:)

The Amateur Bike Builder totally understand that, financially the busa would fetch the most at the moment im assuming in its current state? Its a tough one for sure. I decided to fighter my daily ride which in hindsight has taken a lot longer than I had originally thought so have missed out riding in this weather so wish I'd finished off my side bobber project first. tinkerers thinking my misses calls it :)

The guy, you mention, who converted his GSXR 1000, has he got a youtube channel? Or if it is me a bit of channel advertising wouldn’t go amiss, to help me grow? I’ve converted a GSXR 600 and a GSXR 1000 and found both easier to play with in the twisties and more comfortable for longer periods of riding. And, i think your aware, I’ve just bought a Busa with the handlebar conversion already on it. With your bigger risers you’ll possibly need to cut a lot of screen/ nose cone away. If you sweep them back 45 degrees it’ll avoid some of this. Also bigger risers leads to custom cables and brake lines. Good luck in your decision, the choice seems to be upright naked bike or upright faired bike, and the main difference there is comfort at speed, coz they’ll both end up looking good!!?

I believe he has a channel,...lol , channel advertising ! i can do that for a mate, yes im aware of the 2008 busa... blue i believe ? i just wanted to do a mock up to see how it feels before spending out of a conversion kit, wont be using those risers, watch this space .....
