Best thing i can think of this about bike is 999cc engine torque (92nm). Second is amazing inline 4 stock sound. Third thing.. after starting on ninja 400 within a2 license this gsxs 950 would make my second and third bike in same time. I would ride it with restriction for a year and after getting full A license it would be like whole new bike with 94 hp and 92nm of torque. I belive its made for riders who are transferring between skill and license categories or riders who want good naked bike without dealing with crazy 150hp. Also looks stunning. Thats what i see as new rider in it. Also i could listen to your accent whole day hahah. Good thing you made this review since others are in some weird languages so yea not much content as you mentioned. Ride safe and keep doing great work 😁.

BMW sold the F800GS and the F700GS side by side and no-one really questioned it. Both models sold well I believe. They're currently doing the same thing with the larger capacity 850/750. I guess some people just want a softer version of the bigger bike so I can see what Suzuki are trying to do. Congratulations to you Kate for bringing this to our attention because I hadn't heard of it although plenty of others have reviewed the bigger Suzook.👍

I've had this bike (Matt Black) for about 2months now. Having come from Tracer 700, I was a little dubious about whether I wad doing the right thing. Never been a naked fan, until now! Spent 4 days touring Wales 720miles in total. Boy did this bike perform on the twisty roads and the grunt from the inline 4 lets you know! Not sure about the 220mile range, but was about thrashy with it 😉😉 But I will say it needs a small sport screen Givi/Puig do them, just enough for little protection and aid air flow. Not being biased but the Matt Black gives it an aggressive stance which turns heads when you pitch up at a stop!

Ironically, I'm selling a Tracer7 and looking at the 950 and 1000cc
@simonpiles7773 Жыл бұрын
@Kernoodles I've ridden both as they only had 1000cc available for test ride. Personally I didn't want a 150bhp bike as my next bike. Felt too much for me Personally - no doubt some stick for that as the 950 is not well perceived amongst the ape community 750/1000 GSX S. But I ride for myself and nobody else. The 950 was £2000 cheaper which definitely helped as well. Try taking them both for spin before taking the plunge 👍

@RISH REVS depends on who's riding I suppose. It has enough power for me and how and when I ride. Still have it 12m later and two 4 days trips booked this summer with it.

@@simonpiles7773 Never seen one in Scotland, let alone try get one as a demonstrator... surely they can be 'opened up' over time, even if it means an ECU off of a write off, if you feel inclined over time?(injectors too maybe?). Nice ride Kate. I do like that bike. I love the looks and the power. The only thing stopping me is that price tag. It’s a lot of money especially as you can get the 1000cc for not much more. I can definitely see the market that Suzuki want to get in but they should have lowered the price to be a little more competitive. Lovely machine though and sounds awesome! Thanks for the review Kate, I find the bike quite interesting. Prices where I live (NL) are quite different between the 950 and the 1000. The 1000 costs € 14.999, the 950 costs € 10.990. That is a difference of € 4.000 which is more significant price difference than in the UK. With it's price the 950 has to compete with the Kawa Z900 and the Yam MT-09, not an easy task though.......both offer more for the same money.

There’s been a long-standing position that 100bhp(ish) is about bob-on for a road bike… can’t say I disagree. I’ve had all the eleventybazillion bhp stuff, and it’s just not necessary. It’s fun for sure, though. 60bhp is a great real world usable but can feel a little out of breath when two-up out touring the mountains. How many Suzuki will sell, I guess we’ll see but a great real world option. Thanks Kate. Good stuff! 👍

This really needs to be a sub 10k bike, it makes little sense to choose this over the 1000cc model at current UK pricing. Its also up against other 95hp (ish) bikes like the RS660, Tuono and as you mentioned the much cheaper CBR650 variants. I'd go for the former at 10k or the later if I wanted to save some cash.
