Thanks for video. Yours looked pristine compared to mine! The only difference was my clutch rod came out so I had to use compressed air to pop the piston.

For anyone that does this and the rod isn’t stuck on the piston (which tbh it’s not supposed to be) then leave the clutch line on and take back plate off then use the pressure to pump the piston out then pull the piston by hand for the final part. Also adi the seal you didn’t replace can be fitted without taking much off, sprocket off and undo a couple the bolts on the metal plate. You can then bend that forward and the seal will come out then new seal in and push it back and it’s flat once tightened down. Nice video though adi. 👍🏻

iv tired pulling the clutch lever in to use the pressure so that the piston comes out but all im getting is brake fuild leaking out from the piston everytime i pull the clutch lever in. iv tried using the rod ( which isnt stuck in the piston) to try to shimmy the piston out but its stuck. any other ideas how i can get it out.

@@farazmunir6553 you have have to resort to taking the slave cylinder off and using a air line and create a seal in banjo hole so the air can push the piston out. Or use a pump grease gun will also work. The grease will cause pressure and push the piston out.

I did use a JIS p3 size in an impact driver as I was afraid of messing up them to screw's ...they can be seized in there sometimes ..👍

The reason you do not use brake fluid for lubricating is that it is an oxidizing agent and causes corrosion, hence the use of grease or rubber grease for this application. Even in a sealed system brake fluid corrodes due to it oxidizing hence the white mess you often fined inside component.

Yeah they are superb bikes(at least for me). Mine actually didn't need that much for such old bike, i just did all the work to make it close to perfect and to forget about mainenance for years. Plus it was fun and great challenge. If you go to my channel and click on playlists you'll find one titled "RF videos". That is a list of many jobs you might want to see done. List is in order and well layed out so it's like shop manual on video. Might be usefel.

Thanks for the video. Your bike is in very clean condition and I have found a nightmare in mine. One of the two screws holding the cylinder cover was completely seized, and no joy with plusgas and an impact driver :( Had to drill it out. And I've found that the inner oil seal has disintegrated, part of it came out with the rod and I guess the other part is still behind the cover behind the water pump :( :(

Whoops, I have a big problem. Removed the cover and the clutch rod isn't stuck into the piston but completely loose....did you ever see that? how can I do to remove the piston?

Fixed. I have yoused my bycicle Pump. On the air nipple. The other side a screw and then pump. It flows about 1 meter upwards..😅

Tak samo dwójka ciężko wchodzi a znalezienie luzu czasami graniczy z cudem. Pozostałe biegi wchodzą dosłownie jak w masło. Jak myślisz, gdzie zacząć szukać przyczyny? Pozdrawiam

Moze byc wiele powodow. Gdybys mial pecha to problem moze byc dosc gleboko bo w samej skrzyni biegow, ale dosc czesto tego typu problem to kwestia sprzegla. @@querdor komplet tarcz ciernych i metalowych przekladek to jakies 500zl wiec dramatu nie ma. Dzwignia krota lewa noga zmieniasz biegi jest osadzona na wieloklinie. Jesli dzwigbia jest osadzona za bardzo w gore lub w dol(nawet o jeden zab) to zmiana biegow moze byc utrudniona. Czasem ciezko wbic jedynke. Watpie, ze tu bedzie problem, ale nic kosztuje test dzwigni w roznych polozeniach.

My rod isn’t connected to the outer part it’s still inside the motor how do I get the old seal out?

The rod will come out easy just pull it. To get the old seal out yiu need to remove the water pump and supporting bracket behind it. Then pull out the seal with thin pliers.

No it shouldn't leak. Pushrod seal probably went bad.
