A lot of people were worried about him and started donation campaigns, only to then find out it was 'just a joke'. I have seen 5 people working on multi-year projects like this. Big homemade sailboats. All 5 died before they hit the water. Congrats SV Seeker family. You did it!!!!

You want to see a proper one, watch Sampson Boat Co. or Project Brupeg. One's getting built by an actual shipwright, the other by someone willing to listen to those who know more than him without getting his panties in a twist like Doug.

@@nobodyspecial4702 I do watch Sampson boat co. He is moving along. He also has great help. Thanks

Wow that looks unbalanced in the water!!!! And it appears to lists to one side.

He had like a thousand pounds of aluminum tube stacked on the starboard deck. You can see them starting to move it in the last shot.
@Esschert2 жыл бұрын
@@DavidCAdams Actually no. The boat has an admitted design flaw causing it to both list athwartship, and draw more water aft. Moving those few pipes did very little. They brought another ton or two of lead weight and stuffed it into the port fuel tanks to compensate. They ditched the poorly designed "Love Me Tender" to try and raise the aft, but the boat still sits 10" low. This is what you get with a non naval architect designer and a garage hack who built it.

Doug is a capable person and will get the boat trimmed correctly.

Typical news. They twist the real story. Lol. I’m wondering why Doug hasn’t posted any of this video 🤔

He posted it 2 hours after your comment, which considering the time it takes to edit isn’t that bad of time

Sorry, but research (and all commercial) vessels need to be certified. Meaning they need plans by a naval architect and built by a professional builder with certified welders. None of this has been done. This is a slow train wreck in motion which is why we are all here.
