I hate to admit it but Boginskaya was in her best form in 95-96 while she was with Bela Karolyi and Alexandrov in the USA. When she was made to return to Belarus for preparation for the 96 Olympics she began to regress.

kras118 She probably did her own choreography at that point in her career. I read somewhere that prior to making her comeback with Karolyi, she took a lot of master dance classes in New York. Even when she was a Soviet gymnast, she helped choreograph her optional balance beam routine, using an art manikin to create the poses.

AK Simone has no artistry at all. Her Rio FX was just amazing tumbling-wise, the choreography wasn't even good (borderline horrible), which is surprising considering fans claimed it was choreographed by the people from SYTYCD, heh! There were a couple dozen FX with better choreography than Simone in Rio.
