Lastly, how much would it cost to have these people locked up, all around the world... any idea? My point is don't make silly dumb statements it just makes you sound like a self-indulgent nutter yourself. I think the country needs to re-open Psychiatric Hospitals built to contain these type of people. This needs to happen in every state and large city!! Laws need to be in place to make it possible to hold people in these hospitals even if they or their families refuse!!
@chloecook4511 Жыл бұрын
My mother used to work in a state psychiatric hospital in Michigan. When she started, around 1950, the hospital was fairly self sufficient, growing their food, having cattle and pigs and chickens for food. The patients who were able would work in the gardens and with the animals or in the flower gardens, wherever their interests were. It was therapeutic for them and made them feel useful despite their illness. Then the legislature determined that this was exploiting the patients so they got rid of the farm part of the hospital. Then the staff had to resort to medications to deal with patients who had nothing to do and felt useless in addition to their psychiatric illness. Then the legislature decided that people had the right to be crazy unless they were a danger to themselves or others. They could not be forced to take medications even if the medication would facilitate living a fairly normal life. Then they closed the state hospital (shortly after my mother retired). Now we have hoards of people with psychiatric problems on the streets, living lives that I wouldn't wish on my enemies. I am not saying that the state hospital were perfect--they were not but changes should have been made by people who understood the problems, not by the legislature who had no understanding at all of what the problems were nor how to solve them. I worked in a psychiatric hospital that was part of a university which was a lot better in some ways than the state hospitals but we kept the patients busy with occupational therapy (basket weaving--not really but other crafts) and tried to use up their excess energy with volleyball, long walks outside the hospital, etc. At one time we had 3 tables of bridge on a 17 patient unit. This was in addition to individual therapy and group therapy with psychiatrists and talking with the nurses and psychiatric care workers. But still we couldn't keep them against their will unless a danger and couldn't force them to take medication. I quit 45 years ago so I don't know how it is now.

How do you expect America does that while there isn’t such a thing as universal healthcare and people rather have corrupted private healthcare system and congress who is funded by those the richest. @@KittenBowl1 As someone who lives in Canada with public heath care, we're just as bad, the government run hospitals are in various states of disrepair and all are understaffed with many rural ones have to close the ER most of the time. My province had a population of 1 million and 2/3's are without a family doctor. To get a referral for mental help you kind of need a family doctor and wait at least 2 year to be seen going the non out of pocket route (hopefully you're not forgotten) or cough up a few to several grand to be seen in under a year. Dental is still out of pocket. People have died not just because they got to see a doctor to late but also not being able to see on at all from thing like cancer. The reason why we have next to no doctors is because the government pays them poorly so they leave for other places like the states. The best bet is having a mix of both private and the government hiring more inspectors to inspect these places randomly more regularly, any you know pay them more.

I hope the officer is healed an back to work. I know that 2nd degree burns is extremely painful. My heart goes out to him. I was quarantined in the hospital for 7 days with 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns from lower neck to my calves. Its painful and luckily even though blisters were the size of dinner plates, I had a full recovery with minimal scaring. That paste salve they put on me twice a day, the worst pain was the removal of it and the reapplication of it. After being released, it was another 2mo healing process using the burn salve. To this day, I've been shot, slashed, and burned, and I believe the burns were the worst pain of the 3, and all 3 were life threatening. An no I'm not a criminal, nor druggie or anything bad. It was a bastard ex who after 30yrs still wanted me dead. So now that hes dead, he still got away with child molestation, murder and so so so much more. If she’s having a mental episode that severe she really does need to be taken to get some help and to think if she hadn’t had this episode they wouldn’t of had to deal with her having a warrant to. I hope the officer is OK. This lady seems like she might not ever get better though with how she’s been acting or maybe she just hasn’t received the best treatment yet. Usually this kind of thing Dosent often happen in san Diego, That’s why when emergencies occur to the point of any risk of slight injury or death the first responders bring in all kinds of patrol cars, ambulances, fire engines and a good chance of helicopters. All long with well trained cops and the organized SWAT team you see here. I love living in San Diego because of the first responders that go above and beyond everyday. I wonder how many of these cops caused pain to someone else and Karma came to bite them on the ar$e. After seeing so many cops have mental problems and kill persons for doing nothing wrong it falls back on to them. Case and point not long ago a person was just walking and the cop said something to the fact he smelled Mary Jane. The cop wrestled the person to the ground and the cop said he was shot meanwhile the person was facing face first on the ground and the cop shot him twice. He shot in his neck and then shot in the back of tge head killing him. NO DRUGS OR GUNS WERE FOUND. THE POLICE SAID IT WAS A JUSTIFIED SHOOTING. The cop saying he 2as walking around to get to know the people in the area. Obviously the cop has a ego and mental problem and wears a costume of a cop. That case is not going to go away quietly. Internal Affairs Saud it was a good shooting. The cop wasn't shot. He cried wolf to kill someone.
@mikecunningham61542 жыл бұрын
@@robertschwartzman195 you sure about that? I'm pretty sure the guy that got shot was trying to grab the cops gun or tazer. Plus he was resisting and fighting the cop the whole time.
