The cereal flavor was a summer, one time release from (Texas Based ) Blue Bell Ice Cream (typically 2 flavored a summer). Yes HEB is a pretty good grocery store, the family of H.E. Butt, does a lot of community environment, Hurricane relief going to several states to help feed. Church retreats. (The bad, about HEB, they tend to run competition out of town quickly! (They have upgraded most of the stores to these massive “Plus” stores which, as I’m getting older it is not a draw for me. But…they do have curb side pick up or delivery)

@@TexasRose50 I'm in Houston, Texas, and was born here, one of the few natives left. LOL. There's a huge HEB right down the street. When we lost power last month in the Hurricane, HEB was one of the few places open. They were giving away 2 free bags of ice per customer and allowing people to charge their phones. They have one of those natural gas generators so it powers the entire store. Unlike Kroger, their biggest competitor, they treat their employees so well. Everything is bigger and better in Texas! They have a great pharmacy as well! Wouldn't go anywhere else! They have curbside (where you order online and go to HEB's parking lot and they'll bring your order out to you) and they also have home delivery (which is a bit more expensive but worth it.)

@ElizabethF2222 I know! They are the greatest company that I know of. We used to shop at the big one at Vicktery Lakes at 646 and i-45. But then they built one in Texas City. We don't live there, but it's close and that's where I shop. Now that you mention it. I really need to start shopping online and have my stuff delivered. The hot weather is really hard on me. I'm 74 and walk with a cane due to back and hip problems. It would be such a relief for me. I just need to buckle down and do it. Thanks for the reminder. Take care and have a blessed day.

The best tortilla you can eat is to stand by the HEB tortilla station as they’re running tortillas through the oven, and they’ll give you a sample straight from the oven and it’s incredible.

Recky and Carol, when you come to Texas you HAVE to try Bluebell Ice Cream. It's made locally here in Brenham, Texas and it's the best I've ever tried in my life. It's all good but Recky would probably love either the Peach and Vanilla or the Strawberry and Vanilla. It tastes like fresh fruit with Tahitian Vanilla. I have some in my freezer right now.

Not all HEB stores are on this scale, but many are on a bigger scale than those found elsewhere. It is easy to get spoiled on fresh tortillas, chips, salsa, and guacomole. I love shopping at HEB. Yes, I am spoiled.

You two might really enjoy a couple of vlogs I watch: Your New Zealand Family which is a young family with two children who started their vlog by sharing trips to their stores and then getting packages from around the US and trying snacks and such, like you. Then their daughter began cooking each state's favorite or state food. Finally, they got to the US last year but only visited big cities. This year, they rented an RV and for 10 weeks they traveled the western US and then flew to Nashville and then on to Texas. Another one is Mr H and friends. This is a British couple and their little girl and they have done much the same, but they fell in love with Texas barbecue to the point where they ordered a smoker from TX for their own backyard, and came back to the US to learn more about smoking and barbecue. I've been to Texas but have never shopped at HEB

They really aren't kidding about Blue Bell ice cream. I grew up in Texas, but have since lived all over the United States, and I'm now in Canada. I've never found ice cream that's better than Blue Bell.

Btw the HEB company also has a smaller chain of upscale grocery stores called Central Market. It’s pricier, more high end, but they have an incredible variety of coffee beans, cheese, butcher meat, and always the most beautiful fruits and vegetables you’ve ever seen - I don’t know how they manage to do that but the produce is perfect. Also they usually have cafes that are as good as any restaurant and live music on weekends. Quite a place.

I worked at HEB Plus for twenty years! The prices and selection are fantastic and the fresh produce and meat are from Texas farms!! The employees are friendly and the customers were great!!

Chick Fil-A sauce is sold in other stores. My local average grocery store sells it, and I'm in Alabama. My top three favorite flavors of Blue Bell ice cream are homemade vanilla w/strawberries, (chunks of strawberries in it) banana pudding, and butter pecan. There are so many flavors that it's getting ridiculous, but I'm not complaining.😄 They have flavors that are only sold during certain seasons and holidays, like red velvet cake during Christmas, (it may be sold all year, now) spiced pumpkin pecan, (popular for fall) and other unique flavors like Dr. Pepper, bride's cake, southern blackberry cobbler, oatmeal cream pie, and more.

Jollys is good too but, you should watch one of Hanna Barron's videos on Catfish noodling. They catch them with their hands and usually they are bigger than the one Ollie caught with his hand.

I wish they would have walked and showed more of the inside but I noticed that it was daylight when they went in but was dark when they came out. Hilarious !!!! I guess they were there a while. The tortillas are amazing and my favorite ice cream is the butter pecan and strawberry. Texans are so friendly. They will just come up to you and start talking to you and I do the same thing. I will just start talking to people.

HEB got started in Kerrville and my hometown, San Antonio. I think San Antonio has the most stores and the corporate headquarters. HEB is about as TEXAS as it gets. 😁👍 Excellent grocery store! Got everything you need and good prices. The store does have its own brand of several different products. Carrol, there are plenty of videos on HEB. 🙂

I went to HEB this morning! Ours isn't that huge, but I can get whatever I'm looking for. And I purposely look for their brand of products. Many of their brands are much better than the name brands. AND so much cheaper too! Oh, and HEB is the only place I can but the Kerrygold butter that's imported from Ireland. I am SO spoiled to it. Makes everything taste so much better. Anyway, just had to put my two cents in, about my favorite store. I love it!! ❤️

Blue Bell ice cream is the BEST!! also ..the way they open the cookies. That was a project for students at a university where a lot of us here and family has graduated from. The University of Southern Mississippi. It was a project for students and they presented it to the Keebler Cookie Company and they live it. So now they all cookie companies use it!!

In South Texas there is a nickname for HEB, Hispanic Employment Board. There are a few different HEB's, HEB, HEB plus, Central Market and 3 other stores in Texas and Mexico.

We have Whataburgers in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Because I live in New Mexico, we use Green Chili(not jalapeños or green pepper) on almost everything. Whataburger has a burger called the Hatch Green Chili Double Cheeseburger that is sublime!

HEB has HEB, HEB Plus, and Ceetral Market. A regular HEB can be an older smaller neighborhood grocery store, or it can be a huge more modern upscale grocery store without quite as much as an HEB Ples grocery store. Central Market is a high end grocery store located in more affluent areas.

Our HEB Plus up the road is this big but another HEB Plus a few more miles away doesn't have as much and is still called a Plus. Since we moved here to Austin we have gotten addicted to the fresh tortillas and can't get any other kind. If you ever make it here those are the one thing you'd have to try.

My daughter used to live in the Austin, TX area. One time while we were visiting from Las Vegas she asked us do you want to go with me to the Butt and pick up some food? We were confused and she told us about the H•E•B. Howard Edward Butt's store. So we started calling it the BUTT. H•E•B's are the best grocery stores I've ever been in. They have everything.

Fresh tortillas are incredible. I sometimes shop at Central Market, which is a division of HEB and is more of a gourmet/organic market. They have amazing tortillas. A lot if the Mexican restaurants around here have tortilla making machines and the tortillas served with your meal are fresh. My neighborhood has a bunch of tortillerias that have fresh corn and flour tortillas, and sopa and gordita shells.

I love the HEB in Midland next to Loop 250. They actually have BBQ Restaurant inside it. I love the blueberries in the produce section and the fact I can actually get turnips there. The sushi there is also really good too.

The biggest grocery store in the US is a place in Ohio called Jungle Jim's. There are two Jungle Jim's stores in Ohio. There are videos about if you guys are interested. It's massive and unlike any other grocery store i've ever been to. H-E-B is a texas chain of grocery stores that may have an odd location or two outside of texas.

Hi Carol and Recky! Texas is the ultimate in offering bigger and better in more ways to count. As in most southern states, hospitality abounds and is refreshing. I grew up in the south and to this day, whenever I go out, I usually have a new friend by the time I get back home. Texas is BIG and the choices are more than many!! Many stores offer free samples and you could easily have lunch while you are shopping. I live in Colorado. It's one of the healthiest states. Years ago, a well known donut company opened a store here in our town. It closed within 2 weeks. That was a decade or so ago. A few years back, that same company returned and the store is still there, I believe because of the influx of Californian's to our state. I also wanted to say congratulations on your upcoming marriage, I watched the live show with Recky's heartfelt and beautiful proposal. I enjoy these Brits and they make me want to go check out my own country!!! God bless you both!

I lived in Texas for 12 years, and this was my favorite store of all time. It is only in Texas. I now live in Florida, and I miss it so much. I went on KZbin and found a video where a family filmed their entire grocery experience. You will see how massive this store is... Maybe you can do a reaction to this? HEB is a Texas/Mexico thing. It’s a big deal when an HEB opens in your community. They also have an up market food store called Central Market. It’s fun to go there. I have both within 2 miles from my home. However. I don’t like the big mega stores. Sometimes I just want to run into a store for bread and milk. Market Street is the perfect size.

Biggest in Texas. There's big grocery stores in other places too. Hopefully JOLLY will eventually realize that the south isn't the only interesting place with good people and food.
