Hey, thought you might want someone to correct your Swedish ;) You don't say "Bra videon", that means "Good the video", so if you want to say "Good video!" it would simply be "Bra video!".

We have that first one in English, too - a variation of it, anyway. " 'Oh! So I see!' said the blind man to the deaf man, as he picked up his hammer and saw, down in Arkansas." (Arkansas is pronounced: "AR-can-saw" NOT "ar-KAN-zuhs" while Kansas IS pronounced: "KAN-zuhs".) There are several variations, too: such as, " 'I see. . . !' said the blind man, as he waved his wooden leg." Another is: " 'I see!' said the blind man, peeing in the wind. 'it's all coming back to me now!' " this was fun to hear from the Swedish! Takk! This is a link about some in English: www.answerbag.com/q_view/37029 From Wikipedia - rowan tree: The name "rowan" is recorded from 1804, detached from an earlier rowan-tree, rountree, attested from the 1540s in northern dialects of English and Scots. It is from a North Germanic source (such as Middle Norwegian), derived from Old Norse reynir (c.f. Norwegian rogn, Danish røn, Swedish rönn), ultimately from the Germanic verb *raud-inan "to redden", in reference to the berries (as is the Latin name sorbus). Various dialectal variants of rowan are found in English, including ran, roan, rodan, royan, royne, round, rune.

The rännbär saying is most probably coming from the fox and the grapes story. What a fool I am," he said. "Here I am wearing myself out to get a bunch of sour grapes that are not worth gaping for."
@KaisaKylakoski

It's "sour grapes" in English. Since we didn't have grapes here in the north someone translated the Aesop story with rowan berries. After which it makes no sense at all, since rowan berries are always sour. (We have the same version in Finnish.)

I thank you for your quality content, as there's so much bad content everywhere else. *swipes off sweat from his face* Rönnbär = pihlaja(ia) if i am not incorrect.

I donnot quite understand "Nu blir det andra bullar, sa bagaren och sket på plåten"
@Nackagubben
@Nackagubben 4 жыл бұрын
"Nu blir det andra bullar" litterally means "Time for new buns", meaning that something different (of a stricter kind) is coming up. The rest of the sentence you wrote is just a funny version of that saying. "Time for new buns, said the baker and shat in the baking pan" :)
