I find sjuttiosju hard to say, not because it's hard to pronounce, but because I fall apart in a fit of giggles. I feel like I sound like a silly owl! 🦉🤣

I've never heard of anyone eating surströmming at midsummer, it's an Autum meal. Never open the can under water, the smell will be with you forever, if you open it on the table you'll get the initial splash which will numb your sense of smell to it and it will be much easier later on

This is literally the same as Britain!!! Except in London where I live (😭)- I was at a shop and some scumbag woman cut in front of me. I told her where she could get off. OMG she looked shocked I'd said anything. And don't get me started on getting on/off a bus or train. Rest of Britain, though, identical.

Thank you, Gubben! Maybe we could help each other with a dictionary for Stockholm Swedish? Let me begin with your already mentioned: Najs - Nice Ämbräjsa - Embrace Ändårsa - Endorse To be continued... You may correct me if the spelling was faulty! Btw, these words somehow makes me think about the upcoming American presidential election...

The point of language is to understand each other. These are typical examples of how language evolves over time and how certain dialects arise. If anyone is trying to correct you, simply ignore them or tell them to focus on more important things. Of course, mispronouncing Kex, Kasse, or GIF should give jail time.

Anledningen att uttalet Antrekåå har etablerats beror på att slutledet -kåt inte var lika passande på svenska som på franska. Så därför ville man i ett försök att behålla fromheten bland folket ändra uttalet och lura in de icke anande svenskarna att det var så fransmännen uttalade ordet. Denna lögn lyckades bra pga anledningen du nämner, att man vet att franskan ofta klipper några bokstäver på slutet av orden.

It's a shame that you say "most swedes pronounce it ..." a little unreflectively That is not true. Rather say "many swedes ..." You are quite fun and a bit sassy. But you don't have the linguists with you. Sad to have to be the dull one here. But partly, significantly more pronunciations are okay than you claim, precisely because pronunciations are not dictated but rather accepted. If many pronounce a word "wrong", it becomes correct. You are directly wrong about "euro" (with your model). The recommendation is precisely "é-vro", but since many Swedes still pronounce it "yoro" that is also correct (with my model).

Thank you, Nacka-gubben - way to go! 5:05 - Let me try to summarize how we had to go, travel or leave! The southerner “åkte”, the gotlander “reiste”, the northerner “for”, the viking “for” - they all had to leave, - ÞæiR fóru drængila... U Swedish Vikings created a trade line to Constantinople with a base in Kiev. U Swedes created the Slavs by hunting them down in their villages on the steppes with the help of your Uralic finish buddies who are scared as “skit” of U Swedes because they don’t want to be turned into Slavs. So ya Swedish men are pussies compared to the Finns…just look 👀 at their fighting record in WWII. And as much as I love 💕 our karate 🥋 man Dolph Lungren he ain’t lasting a second against Simo Hayha. What about all those hair nets for the Swedish army? And what about the outright fear of Swedish men to train with Finns in extreme cold? Well they were almost Slavs! 🎉 They have to kick ass around you Swedes. But most importantly to me … a Swedish American 🇺🇸 (Linkoping, 1883) is that Finland 🇫🇮 regularly hosts the largest Bruce Springsteen concerts in the world…it IS one big Karma boomerang 🪃 because Swedes literally created the world Slav to discribe all this forest people sold to Muslims in the twilight of the Roman Empire. Actually, the really gnarly man men are Norwegian Vikings. They would catch Frisian spears in marine battle and THROW them back after rowing south hundreds of miles. YIKES! North is south now!

Hungarian heterosexual female here, I've never thought Swedish people as gay. I'm not a fan of this joke but it can be worse. If I think about Sweden: IKEA, blonde people with blue eyes, cold weather, viking mythology, LGB friendly, ABBA, Sabaton and Brothers of Metal, etc. I've mentioned Brothers of Metal because it is one of my favourite band. (Yes, I'm a metalhead.) You definitely don't look like feminine. Oh, stereotypes! Of course, feminine and masculine men are everywhere but the appearance can mislead. By the way: your English is really good and this video was fine. Don't give a damn about the rude macho guys.
