@@sakenlazn408 like psychologically? pretty sure it has something to do with reminding your brain what high pitched ringing actually sounds like, in order to make your brain stop telling you that you're hearing high pitched ringing when you're not. Sorta like telling your brain "Hey, stop doing that. It's wrong. This is actually how it's supposed to be done. This is what high pitched ringing actually sounds like. Learn the difference, dumbo." that's at least what i've always presumed happens when you listen to this stuffs to get rid of tinnitus.

I’m so grateful for this video. Played this last night just to see if it would help my multi tone , mostly high pitched tinnitus so I could finally have a little break and it helped! That’s a first. I don’t really understand it but there are repeating patterns of sound in this recording that actually seem to cancel the ear earring for several, blissful seconds at a time and there’s no mistaking it when it happens. I got to where I could anticipate the relief and after about 15 minutes I drifted off to sleep and woke up five hours later. That’s a new record for me. Thank you so much for making this recording.

This is quite different to any other head noise masking that I've come across. And boy, I tell you I've tried and used so many. Often in sheer desperation. The intense oscillating sounds that bother so many can drive one to dark times ... as many of you know of course. This is good because it's irregular and not predictable. Some masking things can become incredibly tedious - and a bit depressing in themselves. Strangely, this contains an essence of silence itself. It's almost akin to an absence of sound. I know that sounds odd but that's how it feels to me. And I crave silence following many years of torment. Here's a little tip for sufferers, if you haven't already thought of and tried this yourselves, play this or something like it, and open up another You Tube. Then play something more natural, such as a dawn chorus as well. I am so grateful to You Tube for all that it offers for people like me. I find it invaluable. Well done with this one Dale, you are now high on my list.

I didn't get this at all the first time I listened. But then I listened for a long while. Now it's my go to and I love it. The "variation" caused by the sweeping really helps somehow. Like it kinda distracts my brain and resets it from hearing the same ringing sound. I think that's why it's so effective. It moves at just the right pace to keep your mind occupied. I would say nothing works better than this video. When it peaks on the "high end" and the low ends, it's especially satisfying for some reason. Thank you for making this, and good luck to all of you out there. Stay strong!!!!

This is one of my favorite relief videos. My personal ringing is not extremely loud, but it's so high pitched that it's extremely distracting, and some noise definitely helps to fill it out and make it less irritating... even though, counter-intuitively, there's more overall sound. As a sound enthusiast, I've always been irritated by narrow bands of emphasis, especially if they continue on and on. Too bad I can't reach for a parametric EQ in my head. From reading your description I expected this to have a single peak, but it sounded like a lower peak was coming in as the higher peak went out of range, so I looked at this on a spectral analysis, and indeed there are multiple humps moving up and down within the window. Pretty cool. :)
@dalesnale3 жыл бұрын
You nailed the analysis. At this time, I hade to use two bands of EQ to cover the range. I have since realized I can do it with a one-band EQ rather than a-seven band and get a linear sweep.

Like so many others, I am very grateful for this. Of course we all have our own unique T characteristics, - mine is loud and very reactive. For me the key to success of this one seems to lie in the fact that my reactive T can't, at any moment, isolate a frequency mimic - just as my conscious mind can't identify any of my T sounds (there is quite a repertoire), before your source moves on to another. I have been using it for many months now, and it is still effective. Thank you. You may have saved lives.

Tried to sleep 2 entire nights with this track from a small bluetooth speaker up on my head SO, today my tinnitus (5 years continuos 24/24) almost disappeared for all the day! I think this is the best retrainment sound for me, hope also for others. I will continue this healing practice, thank you SO MUCH!

Your “noises” are The Best!! I just got started on all this via Dr. Ben. This sweep is amazing. I know it’s supposed to be background but it reminds me of micro ocean waves, very soothing in addition to masking tinnitus. Thank you so so so much!❤

This makes for a nice change to the usual high pitch tone which is almost completely masked while I listen to this - will have to see if it provides a permanent effect as well.

Whoa. First minute of listening and it must’ve reached the exact frequency on the tinnitus in my left ear. It was completely tuned out. Let’s see how long it takes to return.

Thank-you so very much and bless you for this. I'm a 64 year old veteran, (just humble infantry mortars), executive personal security specialist and wildland fire faller. (We fall hazard trees in forest fires). I also spent years as an industrial planer operator, (up to 20' 4x12s), and measured almost 130 db of sound pressure at normal head level and distance in the planer room, which I had to enter many times during my shift. Any idea why this sweeping track makes my ears pop? Anyone? Bless you. My noise is a mix of 'natural gas through a commercial meter and very high ringing', and this helps me sleep. Bless you, dear friend. 💝

Last night my tinnitus was loud i couldn't sleep. Usually i listen to stream noise or something like that but that didn't help me last night. I came across this one and this helped me to sleep in seconds. Thankyou so much for this. This is just like a noise but not a noise type thing. Like it's a noise but a quite one. I don't know how to describe it but compared to other masking sounds this is the best.

Thank you so much. I can't believe that the tinnitus is gone. For some reason, when I listen to this my cat starts kneading the bed and purrs loudly. Maybe it helps cats too?

What a noble free contribution! Thank you for making this buddy! My neighbor's elctronic devices trigger high frequency ringing in my ears and my adhd makes the sound impossible to ignore. This is the first time I'e heard anything that masks that sound!

Do you eat the banana or stick it in your ear? I tried pieces in my ears and that didn’t work so I’m guessing you’d eat one? 😜

I like this one a lot. The variation is key for me. My tinnitus seems to adapt to a single frequency, so this keeps it off balance. Thank you!

I retired from the military 2005. I've had Tinnitus since then and tonight I came across your video...I tried listening to it for a few moments but had to stop....As the frequency changed, I could feel the pressure behind my ears build...almost like riding through the mountains in a car...My Tinnitus has gotten worst and just a few weeks ago, I started having problems with Vertigo and dizziness....Going to see the doctor next week because my ears, hearing and just getting through the day is getting really hard...
@dalesnale4 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear this. Hoping your visit to the Doctor gets you some relief. Quickly changing hearing sometimes happens years after environmental exposure to loud sounds, and sometimes can occur from other health issues. (my non-expert observations on the matter).
@bhartley8683 жыл бұрын
Vertigo & dizziness... Labyrinthitis, can cause that & there is physical therapy that can cure it ! I had it in the past & was cured !
