that's debatable. in absolute terms, the composer isn't always the best interpreter. our appreciation of the music goes along with the memories we associate to it, and unavoidably to the version which you listened to. therefore you are irrationally led to consider the composer as the best interpreter, but look up some online covers, take a step back and you will realize, oh maybe slash isn't the all time best interpreter of this song. maybe there are some outstanding musicians out there who put their soul into musics, and who are able to play Sweet Child their very own way, and it's unique and beautiful. So, maybe not, you know
