Slash is my guitar idol and remember my mate lent me his dads use your illusion 2 album and remember running home from school and put the cd into my Aiwa cd player and heard Civil war for the very first time and was blown away. Get in the ring was playing and my mum walked into my room and went mental when she heard Axl Rose swearing 😂😂. The album is an all time classic. Love Locomotive, you could be mine, knocking on heavens door. Pretty tied up, Estranged and shotgun blues too. Slash was the reason why I picked up a guitar in the first place. Love your videos as you've really inspired me to pick up my guitar again and start playing again. I've struggled with my mental health for years after losing my Nana and fell out of love with music and was ready for selling all of my guitars but my wife wouldn't let me. Glad I listened to her as I'm in a much better place now and playing my guitar on a daily basis now. Keep on rocking 🤘🏻 Have a great Christmas and all the best for 2025.

Guns N' Roses from 1986 till 1988 were the best rock band to ever grace a stage. Just perfect, raw, lightning in a bottle, naive young misfits with huge compositional talents. Izzy was truly the heart and soul of the band. His in Rocket Queen and One in a Million still give me goosebumps. Slash up until 1991 was actually pretty fucking amazing, when relatively sober he could have incredibly fresh and genuinely creative phrasing. See live at the Late Show in 1988, Used to Love Her solo.

Hate the room mic sound. It doesn't sound live at all - if it was live you wouldn't hear the pick at all - you'd hear only the output of the guitar amp. Beats me why this guy pays money for a video editor but all the guitar is recorded of a terrible sounding camera mic.
