Sail the seven seas with this unique spin of the 1983 Eurythmic's hit "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" filled with soaring vocals, accordion, ukulele, and suitcase beat. The only synthesizer sound used is an underlying drone while the layering of accordion tones create the songs well known pulse. the song was written by David Stewart and Annie Lennox.
This is my first time playing accordion and finding a way to layer the parts helped with this arrangement. It is a challenging instrument to play and I have a new appreciation for those that truly play the accordion. Thanks to Dave Von Bieker for the loaner and to Greg for the spyglass. Both added to the look and feel of this song video.
FYI, 2023 I'm releasing a song video a month and will focus on the music from my youth throughout the 1980s. All aspects of music and video production is a solo effort and created using my iPad & iPhone and the apps Garageband, Lumifusion, and Procreate and over the course of one to two weeks depending on the complexity.
