Yet another fine example of how talented these bass players were. Their runs and improv show that they were just as in-tune with the band and vocals as the lead guitarists. Great transcription too!

I was Duck Dunn in a Blues Brothers tribute for 7 years, this was ALWAYS fun to play! Thanks for bringing back the memories, Greg, nicely done. Duck would be proud. :)

haha...that's cool :) Did you guys tour around a bit? Did you have the pipe?
@BradleyDillman3 ай бұрын
@@BassCovers our shows were mostly in southern BC, festivals, theatres, community centers. Yes, I did have the pipe! Along with the full show band, Jake and Elwood did/do a 2 man show with the Bluesmobile which is a replica of the original, even has the giant speaker on the roof. It follows them for live events like parades and car shows.

As usual. Wonderful. I never noticed before how Duck made his bass sound like a trombone at one point during the solo. Loved it. This was an incredible lesson on Walking Bass played by a Master. Thank you Greg.

Awesome!, how it's a shuffle feel written in eighth notes. Or a triplet feel. ❤ The White Sox too 🙂😊

I prefer to see 8th notes with a metric modulation symbol. Otherwise it can be too much information and gets kind of busy...imo ;) Thanks!

@@BassCovers its a quote from the movie - when John Candy is sitting with the other cops at the table in the concert hall as they all awaiting the Blues Brothers to appear... while they waiting for Jake and Elwood he asks the other cops if they want an Orange Whip...lol
