I have an Almond Cow appliance that makes milk in a minute out of anything. With no mess. I’m excited to try this! Thank you!

It’s a favorite in South Korea but we use milk & blend. Also any beans with milk. We also drink wild sweet potato with tomatoes, good for energy, but a little slimy.

If nothing else, coconut milk has gotten a little hard to come by just recently... it's good to have options!

This is a great idea. Thank you for sharing!! :) I’m sensitive to coconuts and I’m AIP. So I definitely needed an easy alternative.

LOL, you crack me up. I use sweet potatoes instead of milk in creamy soups. It is a hold over from when I cooked vegan and used potatoes for cream soups.
@MicheleSpring
@MicheleSpring 3 жыл бұрын
ah see, this is where vegan knowledge is priceless. I did NOT come from a vegan background, I came from Standard America Garbage, lol, and we did NOT use sweet potatoes to make our soups creamy, we used cans of "cream of whatever" soup. I'm not even sure what was in them. I mean, probably cream, but who knows what else. So this sweet potato to make creamy thing is brand new to me!

Lol - I was laughing at myself while editing it since my face was always in a big "frowny face" even though I actually did like it! It's very potato-ey, so I'm not sure I'd want to drink it on a consistent basis or anything, but like I said- in a soup? I think it'd be perfect. Or any other savory application. Maybe not so much in a sweet one (ironically enough since it is a sweet potato). But for sure it tastes like potato, so there is that.

@@MicheleSpring, I think your soup idea is a great one. But it's basically watered down sweet potato mash. LOL

Isn't it the same if you should take sweet potato flour and add boiled water to it?
@MicheleSpring
@MicheleSpring 3 жыл бұрын
That's a great question! I have no idea unfortunately though, as sweet potato flour isn't very easy to come by here (plus it's very expensive here) so I don't have any on hand. If you try it let us know please!

Would it taste good with coffee ?
@MicheleSpring
@MicheleSpring 2 жыл бұрын
eh, I feel like it's one of those things that go better with more savory dishes, like to make a soup creamier. It's definitely got a potato taste, so it doesn't seem like it would go well with the bitterness of coffee.
