Would’ve never guessed that pictures change cast based on the temperature theyre shot at. Oddly enough, a lot of my pictures either come out with a purple cast on a normal exposure, and dark green when underexposed.

I'm getting into photography and was thinking about trying the Polaroid relm but this makes me wanna stick with my dslr. I can change my settings and I don't have to worry about temperature with it as far as I know
I bought the camera today and was very, very disappointed. Very poor film quality. A half-century has passed since the Polaroid was on the market. Surprised that they couldn't do better than this.

Jesus i'm SAD. the camera and the films are so sensitive (?). I bought this camera and 3 packs of film and i don't use it much because in my country is SO EXPENSIVE, and even buying it on USA was very expensive and i find out that the films should't be inside the camera for long and that the packs expire after one year.

I’m failing school so I can’t get photography as a class for my senior year ;-; but I still want to be a photographer, any tips on how I can do that?
@SweetLouPhotography5 жыл бұрын
Hang in there. In terms of being a photographer, the best way to get there is to practice. To me it's an ongoing process. You get better every time you go out and do it. That's why I started making those crapshoot videos on my channel. It helps me get out there and develop my process. Don't get stressed over gear at first. New cameras are fun, but anything works- a phone, an old digital camera, film. ANYTHING. As long as you are making photos all the time. That's my best advice. And super important-- have fun with it. Love the process, love what you do, and you'll keep doing it with ease. Hope that helps.

So I took a couple test shots on my car who was sun bathing and they came out out of focus? Is there a minimal focus range? I can’t find anyone talking about it.
@SweetLouPhotography4 жыл бұрын
Yes letting them bake in the car can lead to messed up develops-- check out their article about temperatures. support.polaroid.com/hc/en-us/articles/115012519828-How-to-get-the-most-out-of-Polaroid-Originals-film Regarding focus, yes the cameras have minimum focusing distances. Too close will likely end up out of focus. I've never personally had a bad develop make a photo look like it's out of focus, just affects the colors/exposure.

One day i hope to get a polroid SX70 autofocus and take some pretty nice shots of nature and other stuff I feel like taking a picture of. Tho my next plan of action is getting an instax wide for some good group shots and nature shots. Tho i will say my Sq6 using the instax sqaure flim has been mostly positive results haven't had to many complaints with how it turns out. The only issue i do have is fiinding the flim in a store even target at least ones closer to where I live never had them in stock. Like i said on Instagram had to go out of town to some random best buy just to find one twin pack siting on the shelf. So my future flim shopping will Probably be buying it in bulk online.

This vid is also two years old-- I will say their chemistry is far more reliable now than it was when I made this video. For me it's the cameras, I just prefer the look and feel of the Polaroid cameras over the Instax. That's not to say Fuji doesn't make cool cameras or reliable (and cheaper!!!) film, but Polaroid just reels me in with their designs lol. I'm also quite fond of the Lomography Lomo Instant cameras. Those are lovely. Thanks for binge watching!! :)
