Note: I am absolutely positively NOT pregnant in the pic on the left.I guess I'm just a very good bloater 😫
Another note: Bloat can be a sign of a deeper issue, so be sure to visit a doctor to make sure you don't have any lurking health issues (for example pcos) causing the bloat.
In my years of dealing with bloat I've become a sort of expert on how to eliminate it in myself. It's all about maintaining a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise and daily physical activity, nutritious whole foods, fiber, lots of water, and anti-bloating spices. Keeping a food journal can help you narrow down on foods that may be triggering your bloat, so make sure to try that for at least 7 days. It really does help.

1. Go plant based 2. Keep a food journal 3. Food combining 4. Spices (cumin, coriander seeds, peppermint, ginger, fennel seeds) 5. Exercise She does go into interesting detail for each one, so I definitely still suggest watching 😊

@@levelupyourlifestyle1070 Plant based for me causes bloating. Legumes do it for me unfortunately. Adding fiber and probiotoc and drinking lots of water helps me, and less legumes, sadly! I miss the advice to chew each bite about 25 times! that helps me alot too

@@jacominajohanna9426 do you soak your legumes before cooking them? Also, some cook them a bit first and drain the water out then cook the legumes. Do some research on ways to cook/eat legumes without the bloat.

Don't go vegan, eat plenty of nautal yoghurt and other probiotics and don't eat too many spices as they are inflammatory.

Another good tip is to stay hydrated. Hydration helps you eliminate and not be so puffy and bloated.

Last but not least, avoid refined sugar as much as you can because it causes everything to ferment and soak and cook your legumes well.

I love that you mentioned PCOS, not a lot of people know about that syndrome. I've been following a grain free, no sugar, no dairy, low carb program designed for women with PCO, and the first two weeks that I was compliant it helped. A healthy gut is the secret to feeling better, and I incorporate your recipes to the list of foods I can eat. I also share them with the group and post your links. I have a bowel illness, and I agree wirh everything you said in the video! Exercising, good nutrition, probiotics help me a lot ! Also, drinking a lot of water and trying to reduce my stress level are two powerful things that help me too. My english isn't so good, sorry Thank you for your amazing videos! Love from France

Fresh ginger root does wonders for the gi tract: bloat, heartburn, upset stomach. I saw it in your tea. I love it!

Going pescatarian has almost rid me entirely of bloating. I had no idea my whole adult life that it was the meat I was eating that was causing the every day bloat I had.

Perfect, perfect, tips!! And yes!! I'm so glad someone understands how terrible and awful bloating makes you feel! I have a hard time with it and it really effects your overall health in such a negative way and reduces quality of life when you boat chronically. I am slowly learning how to control my bloat, using methods like these, and also just eating as mindfully as possible. Listen to your body, if you feel like you need a break from food or a food, take it. If you are really strongly craving something in particular (making sure it's healthy and nutritious) try your best to eat it. There is usually a reason your body is asking for it! I find i crave oatmeal and bananas some days and when i eat those foods in that situation my digestion usually improves immensely!

I make turmeric chai rice pudding as a breakfast staple. Just brown rice cooked into a porridge with freshly brewed spiced chai, turmeric and soy or other plant milk.

These are great tips, thank you! I'd love to see recipes. I have found that drinking a bunch of water right AFTER a meal can make me bloated, so I tend to drink lots of water all day except for 1 hour after I've had a meal. A little sip is fine. I need to give food time to start going through my digestive system before I flood it with water (this will cause me to be so uncomfy otherwise).

Thank you for your advise 💚💚💚 All so true! And I've learnt what those little colourful things that were given to us last time in an Indian restaurant were, never seen it before. When I tasted them I though, mmm this must be for the digestion!. In my case apart from avoiding anything to do with dairy I have to avoid quite a few sugars, white of course, fructose doesn't suit me even brown sugar or panela bloat me! I try to stick to molasses or nothing. And something that really goes well are caraway seeds also used in Indian cooking. They're the little black seeds that you need an their flat breads. I put a pinch in when I make my bread and also I get a chamomile tea that has them among other herbs. It's fabulous! Bloating goes in less than an hour!!! 💚💚💚💚

I just googled this topic earlier as I have been noticing more bloat lately. I have slacked on my exercising some and although plant based I was eating fruit after my meals. So thank you for the tips. Also lemon water first thing in the morning helps also..

Great tips! Ginger and fasting has helped my bloating tremendously and I always make a pot of ginger tea often. The standard American diet is hurting a lot of people.

Amazing tips! I would get bloated for days when I ate meat. I feel so much better as a vegan! I drink warm lemon water with ACV in the morning and this helps if I do get bloated from eating too fast or from processed food.

I would also add that there are some teas that help reduce bloat like peppermint tea, chamomile tea, and ginger tea. Lemon water is good too.

Either 1 Fresh Key Lime squeezed in a cup of water, Swedish Bitters before or after a meal, or Apple Cider Vinegar all help with my bloating. I alternate between the three. Plus i juice a stalk of celery everyday and it really helps.

Sipping hot water with or after your meal does help with bloating. Massaging your stomach does help also.

I am ALWAYS bloated and in pain. Especially with fibrous food. Finally saw a naturopathic dr. and found out I have SIBO. Working on healing my gut now. Hopefully I can go back to eating a whole food, plant based diet!

Honestly, not for me. It's only if I make a meal out of fruit after I've eaten cooked food. Mixing a little fruit in my meal seems fine for me.

I just started becoming vegan and I am experiencing gas and bloating ugh! I decided to fast to see if it helps and than I will slowly try to transition into plant based diet cause this is so miserable! I went to the doctor and I am fine!

My problem is IBS-D and every time I try a plant-based diet, I end up with a lot of problems. Worse diarrhea, sudden heartburn and indigestion, etc. I do soak beans before cooking etc and still struggle. Whole grains are a no-no for me. Not sure if raw apple cider vinegar before meals would help.

The tip number one i'd say to eat your meals slowly chewing on them really well before swallowing, and seriously, chew a lot just so your stomach will have less job to do and the food will stay in it for much less time. Also a wholesome plant based life style totally changes everything. And yep, never eat fruits or raw stuff after a cooked meal if you wanna avoid bloating and unhealthy enzymes

I'm in recovery from an eating disorder and I really struggle with bloating. I heard that exercise is prohibited during recovery because the body has to heal, so I don't really know what I can do, since I already do most of those tips (except the food journal, I'm hungry all the time). I come from a past of restrictive eating and am trying really hard to listen to my body but I hate bloating :( any advice ?

Did anyone who just went vegan experience bloating while being regular, drinking lots of water, eating whole foods. After i eat my salad as lunch i crash.. and feel bloated till the next morning. The first month everything was fine and now its going downhill. Im not quiting but tips are very welcome. 🐄🥦🐖🥗🐓🥑🍌❤

Whenever i was going to start my recovery from anorexia, i ate past full almost everyday to be able to gain a healthy weight back and i did get very bloated. and since then i did opened a binge eating disorder, but i haven't been able to flatten my stomach back, because i accept here now and then my stomach to be bloated but it's been a year and a few weeks being bloated everyday, it's been like four or five days that i decided to eat regularly, to not binge anymore but the bloat hasn't gone away. could it be because i was very satisfied full after i finished eating? has anyone had ever deal with that too?

I don't find Plant eating prevent bloating for me. Not eating processed food and diary helped me though. I also do the himikiyan salt flush once every 2 weeks to ensure you push out any clogged up poop.

Rinse your beans well, avoid excess sugars, emphasize proteins, and hydrate. Fresh turmeric, mints, catnip, ginger, fennel yes! So lovely in teas, helps settle the stomach and system. Your gut knows what to do and is self-cleansing.. no extreme measures needed.

Some people have issues with certain types of fiber, and hence follow an SCD or FODMAP diet. If increasing fiber intake doesn’t help try looking up these diets y’all! And talk to a doctor or Dietitian that specializes in these diets. Also reduce dairy and drink more water!!

I use to think vegan/plant based people have the best snap back but after doing research I realized there is more too it then diet, genetics plays a role and not every diet is a one size fits all.

1 tip that is helping me is trying not to drink so much water with my meals and being sure to drink water 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal and being sure not to be dehydrated and drinking water throughout the day

I had just released a kidney stone...so I looked up what to eat and most of the food I have been eating, plant based- caused my kidney stones. I am so depressed because I do not know what to eat. Would you have any idea?

This Herb called Chanca Piedra helped pass my stone quickly without changing my diet. I changed it to plant based now for prevention. The herb is on amazon or health food stores it completely breaks up the stone while inside. So when mine passed my urine just looked discolored but no pain. I havent had a problem since.
